How to drill in very hard metal with the Dexter drill bit?

For good drilling in metal, we recommend that you adapt the rotation speed of your machine. For metal drills, the larger the diameter, the lower the drilling speed. You can refer to the value indicated on the back of the product packaging. To avoid premature wear of your metal drill, we recommend pre-drilling, i.e. drilling an initial small-diameter hole before using the desired final diameter. The larger the drill diameter, the greater the number of pre-drills required (e.g. 3 / 6 / 9 / 12). To preserve your drill and extend its life, it is essential to regularly lubricate your metal drill with cutting oil during drilling. Avoid using the percussion function of your drill to avoid damaging both the drill bit and the material to be drilled. Wishing you good drilling!
