I am an experienced driver, but one who has successfully avoided the highway - until now. Yes, I agree. I find my speed fluctuates too much. Not safe. Working on that, though, because I'm taking "nervous highway driver" lessons. lol Good luck to you, too.
@nismogo8695 жыл бұрын
I've driven on the highway a couple of times, and I was worried about that as well, what I've found is that pretty much, once you get up to the speed you want try to keep that foot in pretty much the same position, giving light pumps to kind of balance the arrow on that speed line that you want. At least that's how I do it.

Thank you for the information, I have to admit that I used to change double lanes at once with the same indicator, now I see why its not a good thing to do. Second they have to be comfortable with hearing what it is your saying. Last the more a person likes how a person is trying to show them something the more easier it’s going to be wanting to know more. I remember the first times I went to the highway. In my area, I have only city limits of 50 km/h or highway speeds of 120 km/h,roads with limits between that is very rare. So jumping from a 30km/h up to 120 km/h was quite scary. Also the fact that one more degree on the steering wheel in a short amount of time might result in death.

Also it is good to have your mirrors adjusted just right prior to getting on the highway. I adjust mine, both left and right so that I can barely see the sides of the car so you can see as much of the blind spot as you can and where I can see at least a couple hundred feet down the road. And I still try to look with my eyes as an added safety check.

To all my Ontario drivers, please do NOT cruise in “lane 3”… that is too a *passing* lane, as is “lane 4”. Stay out of “lane 1” (unless decelerating in preparation for the oncoming (next) exit, so you don’t disrupt the main flow on traffic)), cruise in “lane 2”.. use lanes “3-4” for passing and *strictly* PASSING. On a 4-or-more lane roadway. Now if we are on a three-lane roadway.. “lane 1” is now the *cruising* lane and lanes 2&3 are STRICTLY for passing. The driver in the *acceleration lane* (lane M in the video) if you’re unable to SAFELY switch to, Lane 2, to make way for the oncoming driver, remember - they YEILD TO YOU meaning; just simply maintain a consistent speed and allow the driver merging to decide whether it’s best to accelerate into the flow of traffic, or decelerate (entering behind you) into the flow of traffic. DONT NOT CRUISE IN LANES 2-3 AND FOR THE LOVE OF THE LORD, LANE 4! This unknowing is what makes the roads unsafe, and inefficient. Even the man making this video (although knows more than most drivers sadly) is incorrect. Please drive safely. Thank you for attending my TedTalk. Good day.
