Red Heads get ahead in my books. I love doing natural red hair but a lot of people think that it needs a toner or it is brassy. Watch this video on how I enhanced my client's natural red hair using Kenra colors using my Diamonds In The Sky (DITS) technique.

What artistry!!! Absolutely love, love, love it!!! I am going to do this. I have freckles and dark brown hair with red tones, warm skin. I experimented with some handmade hair swatches i made from my hair brush hair with Igora 10-1 to tone bright orangey and used 20 vol but left for 1 hr to see if it would melt my hair (have had henna for years and many say hair may melt, and had recent appt cancelled by colorist who was afraid to do my hair). But amazingly Igora 10-1lifted the color nicely, toned gently, at about 2 levels to kind of a mid-strawberry--no damage!! Left hair silky and smooth with some transparency. I have virgin hair pony tail without the henna stashed away I can experiment with. My hair at my roots are about 50% gray and Igora covered white in swatch well with even some transparency at 60 min!!! I remember you use a glaze that gives transparency, but forget which vid it was. I can experiment with different products on more of my hair swatches to see. I am an oil painter and work on canvas with color. Thanks so much for sharing your artistry!!! Any suggestions appreciated.

O yes! Love love love the closing talk! All 3 the girls in this house have different color reds the younger has dark brown when lifting truns red in a snap. In the dye world brassy color is like a bad word. I always loved it when my hair did this. Told many people doing my hair no leave it like that it's what my hair is supposed to be. Less I'm putting blue or a cold color in.
