I would be interested into a S&S run with MRKulve. I was doing Safi before that quest was released but didn't managed to finish it in time (drained energy lv1 and while i was doing lv2 the quest endet, so not able to use any Safi stuff). But i did ATKT and there are some things i am wondering about if it's the same about MRKulve. There have to be some conditions to manage the Kulve to get to the next area and so on. If you do not reach that conditions, she will leave the quest but i am wondering if there is a chance that she will flee if you have done a lot more damage than needed. I am wondering because i was in pursuit lv 4 and she was going to the second area, every traps was dropped on her, broke any parts of her, her horn plating was broken and her horns was chipped and i was doing a lot of damage but what happened than? She have left the quest within the second area and this should not happen. (with my Set i was already able to unleash the ATKT within that second area, so how was it possible that the Kulve was leaving the quest even if every condition was reached? I believe there are informations about that Quest Capcom haven't released and i wish somebody could do some datamining. Btw. i am wondering if the Kjarr weapons will be the best Kulve weapons or if the normal rare 8 weapons will be much better, with y Namielle armor it is possible to get a higher amount of elemental damage out of them and with a set of silver Rathalos you can get elemental damage up to lv6, earplugs to lv5, slinger capacity to lv5, free element lv3, critical boost lv3, weakness exploit lv3, divine blessing lv3 (and you even have some extra slots for decorations) + true critical status. My Kjarr Kadachi bow have 300atk, 15% affinity, 470 thunder element, 1 slot for small decoration and +20 defense boost and critical element (fully augmented) while the rare 8 Taroth bow Thunder have 312 atk, 10% affinity, 480 thunder damage, 1 big decoration slot, +40 defense boost and also kulve essence (non augmented) so the Kjarr weapons won't always be the best options. So i am wondering, as MR Kulve goes if i should go for a furious rajang duals, raging brachydios duals or even KT Duals, for example taroth duals poison will have white sharpness but 420atk, 0 affinity, 450 poison (if free element is used), a big decoration slot and +40 defense boost but you could go for an elementless decoration to get past 420atk while you could also augment the dagger for attack and put some attack jewels in the set as raw damage got boosted it would be better to run that instead of an elemental build. What do you think about that?

KT is definitely still a bit of a mystery, i dont understand many of her mechanics and its quite annoying lol Regarding set recommendation, i think kjaar is generally better but there are some cases where regular outperforms, tho i dont know them off the top of my head, sorry. And I would definitely stick to elemental duals for a hunt that lasts this long, as so much of dbs dps comes from ele, but honestly I havent done any maths to back that up it's just my gut feeling. And I would use whatever best ice duals you have access to, so you dont need to change to ice later once she loses her mantle. Im using kjaar since it lets me stack crit ele on top of safi 5pc bonus, but silos with something else might be just as good

@@ConsOA I've tried with Tigrex armor and Taroth Daggers poison with elementless and augmentation, got the Duals up to 438atk (with the set up to 511atk and 45% affinity, 1073def, attack boost 7, critical boost 7, earplugs 5, health boost 5, free meal and fast eating 3 but still got no chance with mrkt, tried about 4 times and every time she left in the first area. I am wondering if it will be a different if i let my palico out of the fight, maybe the HP from kulve gets a scale down a bit more without the palico.

Definitely try DBs out. They are not hard to get into at all. Prolly the most you have to watch is stam management/saving for a dash and when to pop in/out of demon mode, and timing for the one-move wounding. Rest of the weapon is just pressing triangle.

They are so flashy that I figured they would be bogged down with a ton of combos. I played a ton of bow so if it's just stamina management it shouldn't be too hard to pick up. I still have all the old Kjarr dbs from base game so I don't really have any excuse other than laziness. :)

Okay, so after thinking that I got comfortable with Alatreon's dmg check, I thought I would try kulve again now that its back up. But nope, still can't pass the damage check solo. And its not just a cart, it just ends the whole quest. Seriously this is so much worse than Alatreon imo. I have no complaints at all about Alatreon, but Kulve just isn't enjoyable at all for me. gah X(

Not only failing Alatreon dps-check once is "just" a cart vs the whole quest terminated (even if I wish Alatreon stops going to the opposite element after both his horns are broken), at least EJ looks awesome and you go out with a bang. KT just...up and leaves on your face. Insulting. What could have been my favorite monster is my most hated one.

Yeah. I was thinking I could farm kulve for kjar ice weapons and then do alatreon but after how trash kulve was I just went in with frostfang weapons for alatreon and had no issues with DPS so came back to kulve after and still couldn't get past the 2nd phase without timing out it was so frustrating until seeing this video

her golden mantle is weak to thunder, but her arms are weak to ice bc theyre not technically part of the mantle. this lets him use ice db for the whole hunt instead of switching after the first room. also, the mantle doesn't take much damage until it mollifies

4 piece Silver and Safi Frostclaws also works, they're not quite as strong of course but you can enjoy no recoil damage

Update: I try my best to follow these instructions, but Kulve either dodges so I can't tenderize an arm, or she refuses to go somewhere I can give a good Slinger Burst.

Will try this later. KT seems much harder than Safi was. My DBs are pretty bad compared to the Kjarr weapons, but I hope I can do enough damage. I barely started farming Safi a could days before she rotated out, and fail the KT dps checks. Thanks for the tips!

Im a db main and i use longsword to farm kulve because its just harder dealing with the safi health drain. Without using safi armor/upgraded dual blades your going to struggle My times are around 11 minutes btw

Good luck! If you dont have the meta stuff, just make whatever used to be strongest (was it maybe 4 pc silos with beo db's?) and im sure it should be enough. Esp because you wont need to deal with hp drain. She flees at like 15-18 mins for me normally, so as long as you can do more than 50% of my dps with your set, it should hopefully work out. you might be better off with 2 velk 3 teo to make sharpness management easier, as nami's set bonus is generally quite underwhelming, but yeah should be fine. i dont actually know that stats of those dbs though, so just make sure they're a decent option or make something better if you can/need to should definitely be possible though

@@ConsOA bergal vetra has 378 attack , 360 ice purple sharpness . The best i can get 😅 seeing your videos to see if i can start beating them solo, with teams they always cart ... have to farm those teo pieces, was using arms from frozen barioth for critical eye

me and my friends have so many problems with kulve, we cant break any parts and she just never goes to area 3, no matter what builds we tried we cant get her to stay in the mission, its just ridiculous and we dont know what to do, its mind boggling and frustrating we are so close to just cheating all her shit to be FUCKING DONE WITH HER and never touch her again

yeah its not easy, i completely understand. 4 player is your best bet, and it takes quite a while to learn all her moves, and even longer to be able to punish them properly :( Only advice I can offer is to keep trying, and put out more dps as possible. Also i think some part breaks extend her timer? And use the flinchshots/stlagtites. Otherwise it's just a case of learning the matchup i hope you manage it soon

When you go into an online session, you can search specifically for sessions that are hunting for Safi. ( I.E. Target Monster) However, I do believe the Safi event is done for now.

I agree she's a real pain, both the HR and MR versions. Honestly unless you have negative fire resistance for the most part it's pretty hard to cart to her unless you get stunned. I just hate how much hp she has and the fact the weapons are just so rng heavy. It took me almost 2 weeks to get the kjar ice sns I was looking for and that was with me constantly melding kjar weapons on top of doing every HR and MR raid I could. When I finally got the weapon I wasn't even happy I was just relieved I don't have to touch her again unless I want her armour or other kjar weapons.

03,10-03,24 you spammed 3blade dances instead of doing the normal sixfold combo than blade.Here is what i want you to do : open up your phone and than click stopwatch, go to the training area start the timer and spam blade dances against the dummy for 40seconds, do this 3 times in a row and after each go you wright down the total dmg from the "last combo" when this has been done you do it all over again but this time you spam triangle up until Sixfold demon slash into blade dance - repeat after each go you wright down the total dmg number from "last combo" than you compare the numbers!

I appreciate the attempt at constructive feedback, but I tested this and it only made about a 3% increase in damage overall. This still sounds good, but in cases like this it's way more important to choose your attacks based on getting in as many of your strongest hits in before the monster gets up from its stun. In this case, doing a 6fold would have meant I couldnt do the third demon dance, and would have gotten maybe half of my second sixfold in instead, and probably would have been less damage overall, except that I positioned my last demon dance poorly and missed some of it anyway. And that's the real point. Theoretical damage output means very little when dealing with finite knockdowns, and positioning to hit your good hits before the monster gets up, and choosing your attacks accordingly, is way more important. i.e. I should really have picked an optimal punish for kulves knockdown, which probably would have been something more like spin -> demon dance -> demon dance -> sixfold as she's about to get up so I can go straight into -> spin to chase her arm -> sixfold or demon dance if there's enough time, idk Obviously that kind of knowledge comes with practise, and I don't normally play dual blades, but it's definitely not a simple case of "always sixfold before demon dancing" Hope that makes sense!

@@ConsOA First i must say that i do apologise for my comment.. And it has since been changed I was in a really bad mood cuz my life is fucked.. Anyway it was not right to take it out on you who only did a favor to the community with a great tutorial overall. But i got way more than 3% when i did this a couple of times starting at the exact same time trying to do as much dmg as possible i got over 10% dmg increase. 2942-3026-2989 dmg and than with combo 3547-3611-3702 wich is more than 10% around like 12-13%. However i hear what you are saying and it is correct that theoretical dmg is not the same as realistc dmg it just looked so wrong!!.. Anyway sorry again.

@@jonny8688 No problem, your comment was pretty decent compared to alot of the stuff I get, and it seemed to come from a place of good intentions. My life is also on a bit of a downward spiral atm, so fingers crossed we can both recover and go on to do good things ^_^ As far as the numbers go, that's a weird discrepancy. try testing with a longer duration to even out errors, and get affinity as close to 100 as possible to lower variance. I assume you're testing both combos for roughly even amounts of time, right? I went for about as long as I could stay in demon mode with max stam + dash juice in both, and got about 15,300 and 15,700. I may have tested wrong though, idk But either way, six fold is flexible, easy to cancel out of and stuff, so using it more is a decent idea, lets you better accommodate the monsters movements. I reckon the difference is fairly minor though, so long as you're actually landing the demon dances properly, i dont think itll make much difference to kill times or perfrmance, unless there was a flaw in my testing

sticky isn't a bad idea actually. I did a few runs with it and it's really tough to make the timer, but i reckon with a sleep under the stalagtite and some clever play, it should be possible to get a consistent run! thanks for the idea

It isnt the biuld that you make here its mhw self all monster on xbox has 40-100% more HP so it works not on xbox in under10 min the fastes run with this i got was 16 min perfekt play :/
