How To Dump Your PS3 Game Discs to Play on RPCS3 - Multi-Step Method

Note: It's much faster and easier to dump your games using 13xForever's PS3 Disc Dumper. Check out my guide for that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4PbhH6upL6nlck Also, I forgot to add the IRD to the ISO Rebuilder, so it had nothing to compare checksum data against. This is why everything was white for me. After the ISO data loads into the tool, be sure to hit Open > IRD and select the IRD you used to patch your ISO. (Thanks for catching this AnnieLeo!)

Dumb question : I didn't have to do anything for my game files to look like the last image (with the 2 folders and the sfb file). Does that mean I can just dump all of it, just the way it is, into Rpcs3 and start playing right away?

Rpcs3 can't read isos, so you still need to decrypt and extract it if you dump it as an iso. It's recommended that you dump it as a folder and use ps3merge to merge parts, but either way works.

Yes, I'm using a Blu-ray drive; you need to use one, since PS3 games are on Blu-ray discs. No settings have been changed in ISO buster

hey bro, when i do that last step of drag and dropping the boot file into the rpcs3 it says "booting has failed: Firmware has not been installed. install firmware with the "File>install firmware" menu option. for more information on setting up the emulator and dumping your PS3 games, read the quickstart guide." and the rpcs3 says in the message section at the bottom in red : "E GUI: Boot failed: reason: Firmware is missing, path: C:/Users/msi/Desktop/BLEACH Soul Resurreccion - [BLUS30769]/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN" what am i doing wrong and have i missed a step? cuz it seems and looks exactly like your folder does, its just giving me that error when i drag and drop it... plz help.

I will try to help you, the ps3 discs are in fact blu-ray, which means a casual dvd reader is not enough, you need a blu ray player, if you are sure you have indeed a blu ray disc reader the try to see if the game runs properly in your original ps3, if it doesn't the files are corru[ted. Hope that helps.

Not quite. RPCS3 has no support for discs, so you'll need to insert the game into your PC, then dump the data from the disc to your PC. Once it's decrypted, you can play the game on RPCS3 (if its compatible), and you don't need the disc in your drive. It's all there in the video.

Yes. You can transfer the files via USB or FTP if you have MultiMan installed on your PS3. MultiMan also allows you to rip your games right on your PS3 without using a PC.

Hello, I was wondering if maybe you could provide me some info regarding the iso files. If you have Winrar or 7zip installed can you right click on each file separately and do a CRC SHA scan with the CRC-32 option. Then get back to me if you can and send me the CRC-32 info.

Usually that's because you do not have a compatible blu-ray drive
