How long do you let the dye stay before rinsing it?

For the first color, the fabric stayed in the dye bath for about 10 minutes, and then for the darker color, I just dipped it for a couple minutes. To get darker more saturated colors, you can keep it in the dye longer, about 30 minutes or so.

I'm doing this with my parents right now. honestly, the cloth wrapped in rubber bands looks like a sandwich( except everything is white).
