No this dye is not meant to be mixed with developer so it won’t do any lightening if u add it. The only thing is maybe some conditioner to lighten the purple color

Arctic fox has some pastels you can buy . Either way dark dyes usually fade lighter over time

So sorry for the late response for some reason your comment went to spam 😕 so I’m not sure if this response is relevant anymore but I would say getting a color remover to get rid of the red dye and then adding the purple would probably work best! If u add the purple over the red it’ll probably just turn it magenta! Hope that helps!

I have black/dark brown hair but I don’t want to make the purple to bright I want to make it blend in , do you still need to bleach it for it to work ?

Nope!! Bleaching it will make it brighter, but keeping it dark will make it subtle and will fade well too. Just make sure u use a colour depositing dye (like arctic fox, punky colour, iroiro lunar tides etc.) one that doesn’t use a developer to activate, as anything with even the lowest level developer will lighten your hair slightly in the process, making it brighter/there will be a harsh line noticeable under bright lights where ur natural roots start growing in
