Wow!!!!! I've never seen this done before. Who would have ever thought that the shades would be so different on different substances???? Of course, now we want to see it on eggs!!!!!

That's so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this. ♥ I'm so looking forward to trying it, and I'm sure I'm going to feel like a little alchemist. 🙂So far, I've only done coffee, tea and onion skin dying on paper. Red onion skin gives you green paper as well, especially when you add some vinegar to the bioled onion skin water. I just looked this up for the red cabbage method, and apparently, if you add vinegar, it would turn pink. So you could, theoretically, get three different colors out of the cabbage. Well, or four if your purple mix changes into blue randomly as well. So much fun! :-)

great tutorial, can you tell me if you used half a cabbage for each pot please
@JuanettesCraftingCorner Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment Bev. Yes I believe I only used a half a cabbage per pot. If you feel like the color is not dark enough then use a whole cabbage.

My guess is that the solution oxidized over time and changed the color. I've had that happen with avocado dye, though I didn't realize what it was. The doilies are proof that it's not the material. Thanks so much for sharing this!!! PS... I'm envious of that range top! Lol

Thank you for the video I have been wanting to try this method. I love how the tracing paper turned out. Off to watch your coffee dying technique I struggle with getting patterns on my paper when dying with either coffee tea or avocado dying ( the only three methods I have tried yet.

Good luck Rhonda. I would love to hear how they turn out.

Hi! New to your channel via Gayle. Thank you for a great video. I’m going to give the red cabbage a try. I was wondering though , when you stenciled the pages, what medium did you use?
@JuanettesCraftingCorner2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cheryl and welcome. I didn’t use any medium. When you lay a stencil on top of the wet paper and let it dry with the stencil on it it leaves the impression of the stencil. I also have a video of coffee stained paper. Maybe that one explains it better. Thanks

@@JuanettesCraftingCorner thank you! I’ll look for the coffee dyed paper video.
