For my hair personally, it took about 6 weeks to fade out. More or less depending on if you’re using hot/cold water to rinse your hair, if you’re using color protecting shampoos/conditioners/ & how often you’re washing your hair. If you wanted to “strip the color out of your hair” the most gentle & safest route, then you would use hot water, any clarifying shampoos/conditioners (or pretty much anything with sulfates) & also wash your hair more often. If you wanted to maintain & keep the color longer, do the exact opposite: cold water, sulfate free products, products to protect hair color, & wash less often as you can.

Hey! I have light brown hair, even though my hair is virgin, my roots are darker than my ends, probably bc of the sea and sun. Anyways, i wanna dye it with semi permanent black dye but I also want to dye my hair pink in 6 months. Will the semi permanent black dye affect the future colorings?

I think as long as the black dye is completely out of ur hair it shouldn’t effect the pink color. But make sure the black is ALL out

@@noodlecat2368 i think just wait until your hair is back to normal. I used black overtone about a month before i dyed my hair lighter and it wasnt fully washed out so part of my hair bleached a pastel pink lol. It was only my curtain bangs that did that tho the rest of my hair was fine! so just wait a couple months before u dye. or tell ur hair stylist about it so they can plan time accordingly

Yes it does! Stains your hands, bathtub, sheets, pillow, etc. so I have a separate pillow case and everything for when I do dye my hair. Usually bleeds whatever color you chose for a couple weeks. Bleach will get rid of staining perfectly fine. The bleach I use is called The Laundress (from amazon) and it’s little bleach beads in a clear bottle with a black cap and black lettering. Little but goes a long way. And it’s multipurpose bleach, so you can use on sheets and clothes ofc, or you could put it in a bucket with hot water and clean tub that way. Or just fill the tub with hot water, pour the bleach beads, and scrub away and doesn’t ruin the tub. So good!!

No it’s not! 4-5 years ago I previously box dyed it jet black with the L’Oreal box dye (would NEVER recommend to anyone) & then 2 years ago I got my hair lightened at a professional salon & couldn’t get light enough (my hair had a warm red/orange undertone from all that box dye previously). & now I only use Arctic Fox colors (usually lasts about 4-6 weeks for me personally). Since your hair is virgin, it’ll stay in possibly longer. But it’s soooo much better than ANY box dye because Artcic Fox is basically a gloss/toner. It’s great if you want temporary colors without damaging your hair as much. Since you’re doing black with a blue undertone (the Transylvania) & your hair is virgin, it’ll stay in long than me for example, who’s done a lot to their hair previously, but say for example you do Transylvania but later on wish to do pink or one of the very light and bright colors, you would have to get your hair professionally done & lightened, & then use one of the lighter colors from Artic Fox to show up & maintain s specific light color. It’s always easier to go darker than it is to go lighter.
