i dyed my hair green for the first time

I recently put phantom green on top of virgin brown hair and at first you couldnt see at all, the brown just looked darker, but it keeps lightening as the days go by. Right now it's brown with about the new Joker level green and random strands of lime green? It's really weird.

Right!? Thats what happened to me!! So strange! I ended up dying over it again with Transylvania which is the black hair dye and mixing in green to great a super dark green shade. That helped neutralize it for me!

Justine Keesee thank you! If I could give you one piece of advice, I would lighten your hair a little bit. I’m afraid if you have dark hair it won’t show up ! I just don’t want you to be disappointed ! I had medium hair and lighter ends ! I also had highlights through out to help pick up the color !

@@colorcutandcoffee thanks. It came out looking weird. The roots are neon green and the tips phantom green 🤣🤣🤣 it was suppose to be the other way around. But its ok ill fix it this weekend lol

I currently have wrath on my hair and it’s pretty washed out so does anyone know if it’s ok to use phantom green on my hair

Red and green are opposites and in hair color theory they neutralize each other. If you have any reds or faded reds on your hair and put green it will turn a muddy brown or muddle together and become a neutral color. I would avoid it unless you can strip most of the red out

I have dark brown hair, left it on for an hour and once I rinsed it out my hair it was dark brown lol. Waste of time.

You typically would have to have your hair lightened to some degree for color deposit! I had blonde under my light green on the bottom so that grabbed color and My hair was light enough on the top and I had blonde highlights in there so it picked up the color ! Sorry it didn’t work out ! Most dyes won’t color deposit on dark hair without some sort of prelightening
