Glad I bought a heap of the oilbrushers, I think I'll really let rip with them once I get onto the BT-5 Very helpful video, many thanks!

Happy to be of service! Yeah, they're really nifty! Some people dislike the applicator, but I think it's very useful.

Great tips here. Love the result... i think the results you get here are better than the steaking rust enamel.... what do you reckon?

Thank you, James! I was very happy with the results, and yes, I think it was better than my previous streaking rust efforts. It takes longer, but it is more flexible and can become semi transparent.

is this how you weather the transfers? a video on this would be handy for those putting on transfers in imperial guard tanks
@TheRaceForTerra4 жыл бұрын
Hi John, yes, you can use oils to weather transfers, but I never have. On my last Leman Russ, I simply applied some enamel streaks; on my last World Eater squad I cut up the transfers prior to application and lined them up with the chips on the pauldrons. You can also sponge chip them afterwards.

My oil paint brushes leave hairs, any tips for a good paint brush?
@TheRaceForTerra3 жыл бұрын
For stippiling oils, short-bristled make-up brushes work extremely well. See my recent Instagram video for an example...;-)

@@TheRaceForTerra really? Sounds a bit wierd that makeup brushes would work better for streaking down oil dot filters. Of course I belive you. I will have a look.

@Statoil Bensin Not for streaks, for stippling on horizontal surfaces.

@@TheRaceForTerra ok I do both, but what do you recomend for streaks?

@@statoilbensin2190 For streaking, the best brush is a "saw brush", like this: www.migjimenez.com/en/tools-brushes/1640-8-synthetic-saw-brush.html
