bro, I'm an architecture student, and I just spent 3 hours waiting for my computer to start all 3 different rendering software I have to get a basic render set up for my pinup tomorrow, only for my computer to just fail and not let me run any of my software. It's due in literally 6 hours (it's 2am at the moment) and I was super upset, annoyed and tired. But i came across your tutorial and it literally took me 20min to get a beautiful watercolor pciture using the white model with shadow my modeling program has. This truly came in clutch, and strongly refuse to learn anything photoshop from anyone else but you. You are the miracle i needed thanks again!

Yeah Brendan please keep making and updating these vidjeos. I watched one a bit ago & you're like "then just click the clipping mask icon" WHAAAT?? I've been using the lasso tool and very carefully carving out my images for years!! LOL. Glad I was alone when that happened bc I would have kicked a puppy! And when my niece asked why "Pasta" is hiding, I would have to say "a bad man named Brendan made me do it, now go drink your nightquil you lil devil." Kids, am I right?

@ i did not, it worked perfectly and I get to see the whole process. The steps would stop and give notes of missing layes when i forgot the masking layer before beginning but still it did not crash.

@@FRANKI18136 Thank you. I did receive a pop up saying "The command "Smooth" is not currently available." The pop up didn't come up every time I tried to run the program. I uninstalled and reinstalled all of the software and the crash is still happening. Hoping I can figure out the issue because this looks like an awesome action!

Its is an amazing action and when finished it is with all the layers and you can adjust them individually. I hope you can get it to work. Also, I process in a mac book pro m1 16g ram i dont know if that information helps. I don’t remember if the file needs to be 16 bits or 8 bits its in the video.

it's probably due to the 16 bits. So you need to change the image to 8 bits by following these: image > mode > 8 bits (check/enable this)

Hi Brendan, could you please assist here? I have run the actions and it is now 17 minutes and so far the second colour has spread out a bit but I don’t see any further action. Am I doing something wrong or do I just need more pacience? (The second colour now sits in the background layer and the first colour does not show in the watercolour area)Thanks!
