The little purple fireballs are absolutely bs. Not only do they pretty much one-shot you, but the pattern starts getting harder and harder to dodge, they linger longer and longer, and it's just such horsecrap. It's not even a fun kind of difficult, which is what really annoys me, plus it actively punishes you for being good since you can whittle her down as much as you want... she becomes completely and totally invulnerable because the devs reallyyyy wanted you to see the entire fight

The hardest part is that the visual cues are confusing. When the platform is starting to break off, it turns red and you think you are suppose to avoid it, but you actually have to run onto it first.

i feel this so much. i've watched raxx's other video and one other person's video on the mechanics and the problem is in the fight they come SO FAST and they're almost invisible. Like those stupid one-shot waves that cover 90% of the screen give you about 1 second to react to them, and they project on the ground so fast i can't tell which way the waves are going. I'll give it a go again after watching this video and i'll try a few times to follow this strategy but if i can't do it even then I'm just gonna chalk it up to a skill issue and figure its not for me. I hate how many one-shot mechanics d4 has. Feels like they didn't learn from d3 on that front. At least in d2 the super dangerous things were crazy obvious (e.g. souls shooting BRIGHT WHITE lightning all over the place)

I agree that the visuals are definitely weird in this fight. Especially if you are playing a build with many ground effects/minions, etc, that clutter the screen. Those make it very hard to see where it is safe even if you know exactly how mechanics work.

The main problem is player power and damage is so high, people are able to skip nearly the entire fight, not learning anything and half the time, not even being aware of the torment debuff stacks that get put on the player. Players should learn which attacks give debuff stacks, but when you can just skip right to the end of the fight with no thought at all, inexperienced players aren't even aware of what's going on. Honestly, players shouldn't be able to just instantly nuke her and go right to the 3 platform breaks, they should actually have to engage with all of the mechanics and the fight should take 3-5 minutes imo. She is so braindead easy now for me once geared up, there's zero challenge left.

@@WingZeroType None of her attacks can 1-shot anymore... They changed that last season. You have to repeatedly fail mechanics aka get hit by specific attacks to build up a debuff on your character, that increases the damage taken the more debuff stacks you build up. Also, ALL of her attacks have a tell and a sign on what's coming. They really aren't invisible or a surprise if you actually learn the fight and pay attention.

Appreciate it, Raxx! Lilith was the only Tormented boss I couldn't kill--I'd easily get her to that last tick of health on the second wave and got hit by the ground mechanics every time. I killed Lilith during the vampire season with my twisting blades rogue. I died over 70 times before i killed her. But the feeling was out of this world. And i haven't taken off the Lilith's Doom title since. This season, i've killed her 2 times with my barrage rogue and honestly what killed me 9/10 was the mechanics at phase 2. I had so much trouble dodging those small blue orbs following you lol

A useful trick is to equip a necklace with maxed out movement speed and extra movement speed temper for phase two, it really helped me on my rogue. There’s enough time between phase 1 and 2 to swap your amulets from your inventory. Also remember to dash and evade if those flying things are catching up to you. I killed her very easily with my Andariel’s poison barrage rogue.

with my bash barb last season, i made millions of damage per hit, have enough res armor and life. I can easily burn p1 after a min or 2 (depending on the scripting of the game). Then nuke her on p2, until she starts destroying the platform and her shooting those white projectiles. If you do not know how to evade her attacks in p2, it will one shot you

Yeah he is totaly right about that, when he started doing lilith carrys at the start of the season i watch him do it 2-3 times, just went in there and did it. First time since S1 i coud do it. i never tryed that hard because its not worth it, but S5 everybody with any build can do it. And even if you struggle 4-5 times, just come back later and try again, it was never that easy to do it yourselfe.

I finally beat her thanks to this video. Her first phase is troublesome if you can't down her early before she does the circle wall thing, because she jumps very quickly again. So I masterworked my gear to 8, the weapon to 12. That downed her quickly. In the second phase your pathing is key to get the fireballs under control. I died often to them not noticing them. The pathing makes this phase more like a rythm game. Thank you raxx, you helped me a ton

My first Lilith kill this season was with a level 97 with no mythics, no masterworked gear, no level 21 glyphs, and missing several uniques for my build. Build guides show you the perfect gear with the perfect rolls/tempers/masterworks/greater affixes so you know what to work towards. These aren't minimum requirements in order to make the build work. Just give it a go. Lilith is not that hard any more.

This helped me get past the first phase. Thanks! Unfortunately this fight still highlights the need for a DPS build to outright avoid the stacking damage she does. There were a few times in Phase 1 where so many "death waves" were spawning they could not be avoided and the stacking damage took hold. After reaching Phase 2 she started spawning some sort of vortex that sucked me directly into the the "death orbs" and other sundry attacks and spawns. Sigh. Done for now. I understand this is meant to be a challege but this feels like a memorization and reflexes test rather than a test of a build to see if it can both defend and attack. Sorry. Ranting. Thanks again for the fight tips. They helped.

There is only 1 solution for having an easy fight here. Do more than 50 million dps with your build. So you can skip phase 1 and phase 2 at the start of the phases and only have to do the plattform game at the end.

I have to stand there for 30 secs and mash buttons like mad if I want to bring her health down before she starts to jump... from what Raxx has it seems he could do that in 5 - 10 secs with his damage

Check your masterworking crits. It’s not enough just to have all the gear, you need to reset and redo masterworking until you have enough CDR to just spam Lightning Spear. I have 12/12 with all the right triple crits for CDR on Shako and Tal Rasha’s, and Lilith is trivial to kill. For both phases, I get her down to zero HP in less than five seconds and the thing that then takes time is to run around avoiding the flying stuff while she goes through her phase 2 mechanics to completion. Oh and make sure you use a Fists of Fate with lots of lucky hit to stagger her quickly, the actual aspect’s value on FoF doesn’t matter since splintering aspect ignores it and that’s where we do our damage. Even minimum roll is okay as long as you have at least 50% lucky hit. Ideally you want a GA on lucky hit and then crit it further through masterworking

I have a barrage rogue, 8/12 and in some cases 12/12 master worked and simply was lost as to what to do phase 2. I can do T7 hordes fairly easily. I can do the bosses on Tormented I’ve tried but she’s been my bane. I’ll try this today and see how it goes. 🤞🏻 Not a chance in hell. Without the 1B dps you have your method doesn't work. This is the typical out of touch with what "casual" or "normal" players have compared to what streamers have logic. I appreciate the effort, but for 90% of the people this guide isn't useful because we don't have the DPS and we have to dodge 97 waves and mechanics perfectly or get one shot. Will this work? Yes, if we play perfectly for 200x longer than you did. 15 tries, zero chance to actually beat her because my DPS as a normal player just has no chance to burn her down before I make a mistake and get killed. Yeah, "don't make a mistake" sorry I'm human, not a bot. Still can't beat her. To suggest there aren't more mechanics then you say is wrong. You literally said "run around like a chicken with your head cut off" that's an AMAZING guide tip. The fact everything damaging or not damaging is red or.. red is a shit design. Having no idea where it's safe to stand and where it isn't is simply lazy developing. They can't make it hard so they just make it cluttered and confusing. I can basically one shot her life, I can survive getting hit by the chasing orbs but specific things just one shot you and that's a crap game mechanic made by lazy devs.

Dont even think about trying Lilith if you dont do at least 50million dps..... your single fireballs should hit for at least 7million before you can zerg her down fast... i tried it with my 5 Million DPS Fireball Sorc that can also do T5 Horde easily and clears PIT 55 and killed Tormented Duriel Solo.... but 0 chance vs Lilith.... then i tried my Andariel Poison Rogue with 75million dps and deleted her easy. This boss is a pure DPS check

I had never invested enough time in any Season before the expansion to kill Uber Lilith. With the changes to progression though, I decided to give it a proper try, especially since she's now accessible in T1. Thanks for this Raxx. I never figured out the platform part of P2 and having to wait for it to drop to the last one. That last invincibility phase she has before it happens has been the sole reason I gave up many times before.

Been enjoying, and using your tips, tricks and builds for years. Ty for breaking mechanics and builds down brother. Lets me get the most out of limited game time. I'm grateful the time I got to relax isn't spent learning mechanics but putting them to use. You make good games, that wouldn't be playable with less time to play, actually enjoyable.

omg finally after probably more than 100+ failed attempts, I finally beat her! Thank you for this guide, you did help greatly and I gave you a thumbs up...but I will say that despite my Druid being able to easily Solo any tormented boss, I had a lot of difficulty in Phase 1 of Lilith & I found it much more challenging than depicted in your guide. I could not just stand at the bottom and dodge her attacks vertically, had to move more and sometimes they came from the sides...Phase 2 of your guide really helped me though and I found that part easy once I memorized the pattern you explained, Thanks!

Just wanted to say thank you for the video Raxx, I watched this video yesterday then went home and crushed Lilith for the 1st time (1st tried in her Season 4, with OP bash barb to no avail), with my Frozen Orb sorc after about 20 attempts. Feels good to get all the sparks on my own now

Oh My goodness thankyou Rax! None of the other guides I have seen really broke down how to actually dodge so much of that fight! Just 'Hey don't get hit, its easy!'. Took me like 5 tries after watching this!

Going to try it. Looks like the clearest guide I've seen. One question - what gives away that she is going to do the circle waves in this example? You spot that it is going to happen really early and I'm not seeing the cue.

10 hours after watching this I decided to try, just vaguely remembering the concepts and got her on the first try. LOL! Thanks! (Although I already had the spark from you carrying me on stream, which got me what I needed to craft a shako and become strong by farming T7/T8 hordes!)

Hands down the best explanation on Uber Lilith kill in season 5. Didn't know those small orbs were so deadly even though i have a super tanky build. The run around the edges is bang on, though timing has to be almost perfect. Was able to kill her in 3 tries.

Hello Raxxanterax, I've been listening to your video for sometime now and I love your live, I have a minion master I can do a lot of damage but missing something to kill the echo of lilith even with your guide. I'm doing a lot of the "fosse" to upgrades all my rig to have better stats so it may help me. I want to thank you for the time you take for doing this :)

Thank you for the encouragement. Still took like 10 times but I got it. It’s also worth telling people that even if you kill her in phase 2 before she destroys the platform she doesn’t die u til after the platform has been destroyed. She has just a sliver of health.

I didn’t get it right away and had to eventually make a an amulet for movement speed because my Druid was out of shape but this actually worked. I was saying the same things out loud as you “don’t go down up. I’m just walking anyone can do this , don’t just run there wait now go in “ lol thanks a lot. Done it multiple times now and helped my friends too

Thanks Raxx. Just carried my brother through it after watching your vid. There really isn't any simpler explanation than yours. Love your content as always. Just an observation, I dunno if they changed it or what, but the blood bubbles never stop shooting those little white fireballs when I run her. Your method is still the answer, but I'd love if if the blood boils would stop shooting like they do on your runs. I've ran her 3 times and all 3 times it was constant running around the platform.

Just beat her on my LS sorc which is honestly pretty scuffed within 5 tries. What helped for me was nailing the 2nd phase mechanics and dpsing only during the first top platform break and the final platform. Thanks Raxx.
