I wonder if dirt would work?
@dustbat8 ай бұрын
I am now facing similar situation. I do not know if it is under found. or not. To dig down may do damage where non now is. I saw a video where they had infested a earthen dam. They had a pro kill them and them pumped in a concrete or cement slurry. Of course a town has excess and $$$ to do such a project. Over 35 tunnels.🦇

A gopher dug a hole next to my foundation of my home all the way down to my basement would this product work to fill something like that?
@PoochNYCАй бұрын
No, no, NO. Putting all that water next to and into your foundation is asking for trouble. Catch it, kill it, gas it, use "Go Die" gopher bait...but DON'T flood a hole that's next to your foundation.

Our neighbor had a lot of weeds and was perfect for a colony of gophers with tunnels through neighbors yards. My husband stepped in one and fell on driveway breaking his knee cap. Miserable rehab in nursing home and more time to heal. Many laws require and nuisance ground hogs trapped must die, not be relocated. No matter what you put in a hole, the critter will dig a new hole horizontal to it. Hot peppers, dirty kitty litter, nails or broken glass. They will come back unless you trap and kill! But fill the holes or mark with a visible marker so no one steps and is injured. They can dig under a 48 inch foundation. They love going under decks and moving into crawl spaces and knocking down ductwork. If in town where you cannot shoot them after they are trapped, then put cage in large container out of sight and drown it. My solution was a rescue dog. He is a flatcoated retriever and he loves to chase gophers out of yard and rabbits. He catches mice, voles, chipmunks. In city, I gave up and hired a professional. They trapped and removed legally. Filled holes. Secured entrances to buildings. And peace of mind! Sounds and is expensive but so is replacing air ducts and how do you put a price on being in nursing home for weeks and using crutches for months? Fill the holes but do your best to eliminate the hole digger! He'll be back! Probably with 5 babies.

I actually needed something like this. I was going to go buy some gravel and shove them into the hole. Is there any wording on why this would stop the gophers from coming back or is this just filling up the hole?
@petervonpanda4 жыл бұрын
It turns kind of gelatinous so I’m guessing it’s hard to tunnel in. It kind of collapses in on itself

@@artdogg50 It felt like a literal whack a mole. They just move a few feet over and dug another hole. When I filled that one, they just moved over another couple of feet. I tried a bunch of detterents as well, but they kept digging holes into my foundation.

I have a problem where I wanted to plant a vine plant along the fence I generally fill hole I dug half way with water appearantly when I tried filling hole I dug with water the water kept draining bellow the hole I dug which is about foot deep its obvious its a gopher hole why water keeps draining in it so now I am thinking either dumping bunch rocks gravel into the hole to try to stop the draining before I plant the vine into the hole, I had much problems with gophers in the past I think this was an old tunnel of theirs being I killed many of them in the past & has not been active for long time, I left the hole open for day to see if a gopher is active in that hole I dug but nonetheless I need to stop the leaking water before I plant the vine in hole never had a hole like this that taken this much water ever its like a major drain opening.

The best way is to use bentonite, however, not everyone has access to that.

I've got some serious holes that are burrowed under a cinder block wall, sidewalks, and driveway. Would filling holes with this product support weight above in these areas? Have been thinking about filling the holes in these areas with some kind of expanding foam. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Get a mudjacking company to come pipe in their sludge. It’s strong enough to help support sidewalks anyway plus it gets into all the nooks and crannies. Worked for a tunnel/hole under my front stoop.

Won't the gophers just dig through this. It doesn't appear to be any harder than dirt.

I needed to see what it looked like expanded in the hole, not your grass covering it.

Video is good, not too impressed with how much you had to use, it would take multiple bags for large lawns with multiple gophers🙄

Yeah, a serious tunnel could definitely go through a lot

How is that a downside? That would be true of anything.
