To all my clients who may be watching this right now - please know I love you and chances are I have not done any of these things to you, because if I had you wouldn't be my client! I am so blessed with the client base I have been able to build around myself and on my bad days it is one of the only things that keep me going! SO please know I love you and your dogs and appreciate you to the ends of this earth!
Super excited for this video because among the stress of firing a client you will find happiness! Dealing with clients you can't stand for any reason quickly brings us down in this job we love so much! So I can't wait for all you groomers to believe in yourself, find your power and fire those clients!
Also!!! I am wearing some Britt Johnson Merch in todays video! Make sure you check out her whole collection it is beautiful! She did her OWN award show last year the "seen & loved awards" were I was awarded the Trailblazer Award, it was crazy and amazing and I can't thank this girl enough but what I can do is have you all go check out her shop! link below!
www.etsy.com/s...
also find her on instagram, her content is out of this world

I needed this video so bad. Bad client's make me silently mental. #$@!! I have a few people that are constantly complaining about my prices or wanting a discount for multiple dogs. There isn't anything wrong with just saying I can't do your dog anymore for whatever reason or were not a good fit period. When I worked in a shop I used to watch the owner say no in a million ways and not bat an eye. She just cut through the bs. I used to think she was just a big (B) but I didn't have to do the firing of customers. Now that I bought and built my grooming van it's all on me to get rid of bad dogs or pia owners. This subject is probably the hardest part of my job. I love being a mobile groomer and my phone rings with new customers daily. They won't break my business. Thank you

@@christiehenriksen3112 i personally raise my rates $5 per year on existing clients and higher rates for new clients! It’s still hard when existing clients don’t understand, but it weeds out those that don’t appreciate your work

I would love to do a video on how to raise prices ! You are so right it is so hard for us to do because we are such heart lead people but it’s something we simply have to do! Prices raise in literally every aspect of life. Gas, rent, even milk and toilet paper! It’s all relative !

The price raising method. What do you say if they ask why you are keep raising? Whatbif they sk if it's for everyone or just them? They could talk with your other clients.

I am a dog trainer and caretaker and I see a family 3 times a week all year and they are RIDICULOUS WITH THEIR requests and beyond self centered disregarding others in the pack. I really want to fire them

How much do you raise prices on those pets at a time? Do you do a major raise or like 5 dollars at a time?

I just do $5 at a time until I reach a point that I’m happy ! I like to leave it open for discussion I tell myself - because my opinion could change on the matter. Maybe I was wrong about that client! Maybe the dogs attitude changes or maybe the client does something that makes me think differently in the future. Even if I get to a point where just that client is say $15 more as long as I’m happy and feel comfortable with it , I’ll leave it be ! I saw your question on Instagram and hope I answered it more in detail there !

I always am afraid they will turn to Yelp and bash me for rejecting their dog when petco will take them.
