How to Easily Make Loose Leaf Iced Tea | Eco-Cha Teas

Beat the sweltering summer heat with a cold, refreshing glass of loose leaf iced tea. It's easy to make! Brew up some loose leaf tea in a French press, pour it into a pitch and stick it in the fridge until it's cool. Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice, pour in the tea and shake for 20 seconds. Pour into a cold glass and enjoy!

I did it exactly the same way: 400ml French Press (the only one I got;) - a Sun Moon Lake T-8 assamica Black Tea (which I found a little bit too malty for my normal brewings - so I used it for this "experiment") - steeped it for about 8-10min - added some fresh cut squeezed lemon pieces, chilled it in the fridge and later I shaked it with quite a few ice cubes!!! Served in a Guinness pint glas. The foam is so delicious - and it's far more better than normal ice tea (that is stirred - not shaken!;). The shaking is the secret tip!!!! Saw some other recipes on the Eco-Cha website which I'll gonna try all.

The foam makes a huge difference! I feel like this Eco Cha just changed my Iced tea life with this secret. I made some the other day with the same tea used in this video - and then yesterday I made the Bi Luo Chun.

Yeah, that head of foam really changes the tea! Maybe that's why bubble tea took the world by storm! 😁

When you brew the leaves that long can you resteep them?

If you brew it for a long time, then it's not recommended to resteep. This is because most of the flavor would have already come out. But you could brew it twice for half of the time. It all depends on personal taste. Play around with the amount of tea and steep times to get it the way you like. That's the part of brewing tea we love -- experimenting with things! 😁
