That looks like a perfect book for the piano, fit wise. But woe to the piano tuner whose right arm has to manipulate the wrench right up against the closet wall! It can be done, but those are the placements I, as a piano technician, like the very least.

Hello James! If you are referring to the wheels on the dolly, we have specialized piano dollies designed to roll over hard wood flooring. The dollies are designed with rubber wheels to prevent any damage to the flooring. If you're referring to how our men got the piano into place please look closely. You can see that our piano movers placed moving pads on the floor prior to taking the piano off of the dolly. They placed the piano directly onto the moving pads to protect the floor from any scratches as it was moved into place. You can see the pads under the piano as its being placed. Hello Victory! We utilize many different size ramps for piano moving. This particular ramp is 12ft long, and it is produced by Magliner. It is one of their Van Walk Ramps. Not Many people are interested in the walk ramps we use. Are you a piano mover also?

Yes it is possible to move these pianos to second floors but there are limiting factors.

@@StumpfMovingandStorage I'm a small moving business in the UK we moved number of pianos however I have to give you big respect for professionalism shown in the video. There is still lot we can learn and I'm not trying to get into that. Today I had customer who asked us to bring piano to second floor in very narrow stairs where we couldn't really turn the piano. I was very concerned for my guys and all risks it takes and also for the piano itself as it's a customers belongings. At the stairs landings in order to turn it we had to lift it over the stairs rails and there's lot more I could keep talking about honestly once we moved it to second floor I entirely reconsidered my business and I'm not really sure I'd be happy to do it ever again 😅 but yes thanks for your answer guys I know it is possible also I know there's many people who would never be able to do it and also many who shouldn't do it or try it without being sure safety is kept all the time. 👍

That sounds like a difficult move. I'm glad it went well for you. Our region here is very hilly, so we oftentimes run into steps inside and outside of the home. Moving pianos up and down staircases has become an almost daily occurrence. Most of the time it can be done pretty easily. However, there are times where the house/building is too tight and too small to safely move a piano up and down the steps. In those instances we recommend a crane be used to lift the piano to the desired floor.
