How to EASILY Play PS2 Games On Your MacBook!

For some reason I can't seem to get the widescreen patch to work even when it's enabled. All my games still look stretched. Do you know how to fix that?

Sorry for the long reply, but this is what I’ve found to try: 1. **Update PCSX2**: Make sure you have the latest version of PCSX2 for macOS. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements. 2. **Enable Widescreen Patches**: - Open PCSX2. - Go to `System` > `Enable Widescreen Patches`. Ensure this option is checked. 3. **Configure Aspect Ratio**: - Go to `Config` > `Video (GS)` > `Plugin Settings`. - In the settings window, set the `Aspect Ratio` to `16:9` or `Fit to Window/Screen`. 4. **Check Game Settings**: Some games might have their own internal settings for widescreen. Make sure to check the in-game options and set the aspect ratio to 16:9 if available. 5. **Use Correct Patches**: Ensure that the widescreen patches for your games are properly placed in the PCSX2 patches directory: - Go to the `PCSX2` folder in your system (usually in `Documents` or `Library/Application Support`). - Look for the `cheats_ws` folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it. - Place the appropriate widescreen patch files (they usually have a `.pnach` extension) for your games in this folder. 6. **Check Console Log**: - Go to `Misc` > `Show Console` to open the console window. - Restart the game and check the console log for any errors related to the widescreen patches. This might give you more information about what's going wrong. 7. **Enable Cheats**: - Go to `System` and ensure `Enable Cheats` is checked. I haven’t personally run into the issue so I can’t confirm these fixes but hopefully one of them gets you what you need!

@@JonathansLaboratory also I don't see the option for widescreen patch in the settings tab. It only seems to be available when I access a game itself in properties.
