How to EASILY record DAW audio in OBS with Windows

I finally found a foolproof way to stream or record DAW audio into OBS. I'm using Studio One for my DAW, but I think it will work with any DAW.

From the latest update of OBS, at 1:55 you need to pick the Application Audio Capture, then pick the main window of the DAW used. That works for me.

This was immensely helpful...more people need to see this. I use FL studio and I used to use this convoluted setup with this re-porting software and it worked but it sort of becomes your default audio mixer for your computer and I don't want that...Your guide was so refreshing in how you walked it through. IN fact, based on the way my computer is set up I didn't even need to do any of the muting/gain reduction stuff..my mics are only active when my DAW is active, so for my needs it was such a super simple setup! Thank you!

I couldn´t get this to work. The audio is being transmitted but I still get no sound. It appears that it is not being received in OBS. I triple checked the audio input config, but no luck. Any feedback/guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Where is your micrphone input plug in to? Is it a USB mic that uses your PC general mic input or do you also go through your Focusrite with your speaking mic? The reason I ask is I only have S1 setup as in video and a display for recording, andf I do not get any feedback or latency as there is only one Audio source in my scene, which is S1. My mic input for talking comes from S1. Is this incorrect for setting up or will it work? No worries, I'll think I'll try the seccond option you showed in video to play VO through S1 to OBS. Thanks
