We have several of our own "Slippers" at our mower shop! LOL Plus..."There's your dinner!" is my new favorite phrase! Thanks so much for these videos...my boyfriend has the shop out here and I keep wanting to learn more how to actually fix stuff instead of just cleaning mower decks. Thanks for giving me some comprehension on how things work. And P.S.---even tho it's not relevant to this video---my bf has an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner he bought from Harbor Freight to clean carbs with. He fills it with SeaFoam, sets the timer, puts the carb in for a couple of cycles and it cleans them! It's saved us a lot of money in our shop!

I've had that same Stihl blower for about 20 years. I had to replace the cylinder base gasket a while back but otherwise it's been flawless. I bet it will outlast the new weird 2/4stroke hybrid models with far less maintenance.

I had to replace this cable on a old Stihl br400 blower a couple years go!!! The cable gets stretched/worn etc. so that the throttle doesn’t work right! Good video!!!

I had a neighbor once that made Slippers look like a angel...everytime my neighbor saw my garage doors open, he would walk over, yell out my name walking up my driveway and say "What are you doing today?"...I use to keep my door closed just to avoid being stalked. Luckily, he moved back up to Kentucky. Like I said, I'd take Slippers any day compared to those days.

Great DIY repair. The stealership would charge too much to do the repair. To any newbies watching, remember that Taryl is a seasoned professional. Do Not use an impact to replace plastic screws in your space shuttle.

Another job well done. That series of blower will last a very long time if properly maintained. Throttle cables on older blowers wear out - who knows how many times that throttle was operated?

I would have cleaned the engine up a little behind the cover with some carb cleaner and lubed the recoil before putting it back together, but that's just me

Dear taryl I am 17 years old and I have a scrup cadet and I really need help with its a Cub cadet 3000serie with a kolher 18hp command it has oil leaks and I think the hydraulic and the transmission needs to be looked at and the engine probably needs to be rebuilt and needs some more work done to the electrical system I would really appreciate it if you could help me out with this I live in Fremont Michiganprobably really far away from where you're at I would really appreciate it and I could possibly bring it to you I do have a driver's licenseI just give me a shout out or give me a message back if you could give me a hand with this thanks
