In this video Natalie Bogwalker gives a detailed lesson in how to easily test your subsoil to determine how to mix it into a COB that will harden and work in natural building styles popular amongst those looking to build hobbit homes or other unique DIY and off-grid living structures. You can also use cob to build pizza ovens, garden walls, sculptural details on the exterior or interior of a home, and so much more.
Natalie is the founder of Wild Abundance and an experienced builder who lives in a not-so-tiny house she built herself. If you're interested in hands-on learning with leaders in this specialized field, check out the Natural Building workshop at Wild Abundance and be sure to get on the wait list to get an email when the next class dates are announced and first dibs when the session opens up for registration.

Both of these offerings are fantastically comprehensive and chock full of well organized video lessons and resources to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to plan and actualize your dreams.
Wild Abundance is also a home, a hub, and a dream of a more interconnected and sustainable world. That dream is constantly co-created by everyone who participates in it.
We see modern life pushing people further and further away from their connections to the natural world, from each other, and from the skills for engagement. The school is our act of hopeful resistance to this trend. It’s also our invitation to you to gain confidence and competence.
