How To: Easy Updo | French Rope Braid

I recently picked up this red dress for an upcoming wedding, and as soon as I put it on I instantly wanted to create an up-do to pair with it. I decided to go with this French Rope Braided Up-do since it's so simple to do, and can be worn sleek and formal, or more undone and casual. This hairstyle would be perfect for a Wedding, Prom, or any Formal event.
Also, I have brainstormed a lot of new content ideas for my channel and blog, I am so excited to share with you a more personal side of me, and my hobbies and interests. I love creating hair tutorials and will continue to do so, but I also love spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, and adventuring and I so badly want to share those experiences with you. Hello Alex. I have done 3 different styles, you've taught me, for when I go to work. Everyone does throw a fit on how cute the styles look every time I wear them. I did have to practice a bunch before I was comfortable leaving the house, but in all the practice is worth it. Thank you for doing this in normal speed, slow even. I always get confused and nervous when I wanna learn how to do it, but the tutorial suddenly get 2x speed in the middle. behrika Oh yeah! I like to wear hats in cooler wheather - same problem. Those volume powders you massage into the roots help a little but that only works with open hair where I can shake the hair out after taking of the hat. And it's annoying, always having to go straight to the bathroom as soon as I arrive.

Hi this is really helpful thank you! I already do a hairstyle similar where I do the french rope braid but stop it just behind my ear and pull the rest of my hair in to a curly side pony. I have very thick hair but I'm going to try and keep going and do the braid bun as it looks gorgeous!

Our Taetae is so hansom trim the ends every month or 3 months depends on how damaged your hair is. and do a hair and oil mask once a week. tangled hair is usually just dry hair. keep it hydrated.

I'm always looking for new ways of making a side bun oh a messy top knot. I have very thick and very straight hair and it's quite a challenge to make updos last in my hair, even with lots of hair pins and bobby pins. It's not uncommon for me to use up to 15-20 pins in my hair for an ordinary bun 😉

Alex Gaboury My hair is so hard to work with as it has I life of its own!!! It tends to stick out everywhere and it's just not very cute. Living in Denmark, Europe, it's pretty much impossible to find the same bobby pins as you can buy in the US and Canada, but I've recently found some on lookfantastic.com by Hershesons and they're truly amazing, even in my hair 😉

Alex Gaboury You should really go to Denmark, especially when your friend is in Copenhagen! It would be so much fun meeting you but I don't live in Copenhagen but in Odense, the city known worldwide for Hans Christian Andersen who was born here. We have so many tourists coming from all over the world because of him and I love living here. Odense is the third largest city in Denmark but it's also called the country's biggest village so we have the best of both worlds 😉 By train, Odense is only 75 minutes from Copenhagen.
