Her rules are not elegant, they are basic table manners! Elegance is not something you need to be taught from the internet, it is something you acquire yourself from maturity and self improvement. We should look up to women like Queen Elizabeth, Marylin Monroe, Bella Hadid, Keke Palmer and our own grandmothers (that’s just off the top of my head) to learn elegance and modesty! Not women like this who create standards that are not relevant . . She uses her platform to shame interest and habits the majority use and an elegant, smart women does not do that. She shouldn’t compare she should simply teach! There is no reason to put comparisons when she can easily say “eat like this”. This is just my opinion. My family, specifically the women in my family have taught us since day one how to be classy and cultured so I would want nothing less for other women and girls. In the situations etiquette like this is expected, people don't really order the food, it's a set menu, like afternoon tea or those really elegant dinner parties with 15 courses. Wherein after, everyone reconvenes in the drawing room to sip some brandy and wine. Lol. Actually though, at afternoon tea, there are often those small tea sandwiches and petit fours. At the dinner parties, they don't really serve sandwiches. However, a lot etiquette courses do say, that in the event that a larger sandwich is served, its considered the "elegant" way is to use a knife and fork to more cut it into more manageable pieces. Possibly, she ordered the sandwiche for the purpose of that demonstration. Maybe.

Let me tell you a funny thing then. My mom's a baker and I am known to have the best fashion in my fam so she took me (and my sister bcz she loves her) to a mob of bakers. The host was a Pakistani and it was an engagement party. I ignored it thinking it was a joke until we arrived and it was time for launch. The point was to not mess up your lipstick, open your mouth big and not get your hands dirty. And honestly no it isn’t. She made this video with the expressed intent of teaching others how to eat a sandwich like an elegant lady. Why else would she make the video? We are responding to the fact that she is trying to tell people that they should eat foods a certain food to appear classy to others. Think about who this video is for. Who is it targeting? Young people in this app. It’s teaching young people to worry so much about their image and appearance that they feel they have to cut a sandwich into bite sized pieces in order to gain the approval of a bunch of random strangers in the restaurant. It also encourages tying food to your elegance and worth,which is unhealthy.It’s harmful, and frankly stupid. She knows that this will get views and doesn’t care about the ramifications of creating such an unhealthy relationship with self image, and with food. It’s not ironic. By making this video she is being selfish, judgmental, and the farthest thing from elegant.
