The absolute honor of not only getting to work with Adam again but also being graced by Chef Noz's immaculate technique in creating an authentic Edomae sushi experience in New York. My Japanese heart is happy and full, as is my stomach 💛 Thank you for having me, FWF

I appreciate Adam asking thoughtful questions even though I’m sure he knows the answers as a well traveled food connoisseur
@VulcanerdАй бұрын
Yeah, that's the thing. I've noticed interviewers (though he's not interviewing here, per se) that will ask questions to which they may already know the answer so they can record the answer for us as the audience.

Yeah doing it for the novices and the ignorant

Chef Nozomu going, "Yuupp" when Adam asks if he should stop yapping and eat the sushi immediately 🤣
@LordDonnington725Ай бұрын
Honestly, this video is clutch. There are probably several people watching this who want to try and experience this but feel intimidated by the nuances and expectations of this level of Omakase experience. So for Adam to put himself in the average person's shoes and ask the common questions people have and to understand some of the misnomers that might exist probably gave a few folks the confidence to go and try their local omakase spot, even if it doesnt have 2 Michelin stars. Loving this pro moves series.
@tommyt1971Ай бұрын
And the price for the whole dinner might be a bit intimidating: $500 a shot! BUT, for the experience that would be worth it. One of my goals is to hit Jiro’s place in Tokyo - 3 Mich stars and according to Anthony Bourdain, the best sushi he’s ever had.

I was lucky enough to go to Masa in NY around a decade back...and Chef Masa told me that the correct way to eat nigiri was with your fingers, not chopsticks. I live in the UK...and I always ask every sushi chef about this...and literally NONE of them have said that eating nigiri with fingers is the correct thing to do!!!! I'm so happy to see it here. ❤

My partner at the time went to this restaurant right after Martha Stewart recommended it years ago, so we went to get cheap TKTS and stayed in a student hotel, but we definitely paid WAY less than $550 a person for Omakase like total bill was definitely less than $300, but good on em for keeping the quality! People are obviously paying it gladly!
