Wow man! Life saver!!! I just finished an 1 hour and 20 min recording and noticed those clicks and thought I have to redo everything. Can't express how thankful I am.

An oldie but goodie! I recorded a complete vlog with a GoPro and it had.. well, static/crackle or whatever it's called on ALL the audio!! Then I tried this and it helped a lot! I also messed with the audio track settings to perfect it but you got me on the right, pun intended, track. Kudos!!

You, sir... are a blessing. I had to expand the advanced settings a little and play around with it, but you just saved my life! If I couldn't fix this interview audio, I would have had to use the onboard camera mic. Lesson learned, never forget my headphones to a shoot.

Hi Luke, thanks for the video 😊 The only problem I find when I use this method is that my entire track sounds over-processed. Yours sounds good though! I’m thinking about buying the wavesXcrackle plug in, but not sure if I’d still be left with the same problem at the end! Hmmm 🤔

Thanks for the advice. Hey guys overthere! I'm getting some clicking and static noises that are not coming from the source or instruments being recorded. It happens just after the audio file is saved and seems to be CAUSED BY THE CONFIGURATION, NOT THE SOURCE. Any idea or advice will be appreciated. Regards fro Mexico!

I have problems recording voice overs with Audition particularly with crackling. I use the same set up with Garage Band and Vegas but I have no problems with the quality of the recordings. Why does this happen to Audition?
@lukeholt74264 жыл бұрын
I honestly have been unable to work that out but I can assure you it is less likely to be 'Audition' as much as something in connection with Audition. I haven't had that crackle happen in years now since I changed my input away from the AVID Duo and changed a few things in my session recording and my laptop I am recording on. I don't know if any of those things were a part of the problem or if it is all coincidence but the issue for me is now gone.

Are you recording in stereo? Why is your voice coming more from my left speaker?
@lukeholt74264 жыл бұрын
You are correct there is a left channel audio, it was something happening in the Camtasia recording that I wasn't aware of with the setup I had. Because I was editing on a laptop mono speaker through Camtasia I did not pick it up until well after the fact. Apologies, but I hope the content helped in some way otherwise. :D

@@docmedia1685 It was a reaction video... However since I am recording from the microphone input into my computer... It still sounds harsh and trash lol. I'm looking into the best microphone for OBS atm. If you have any recommendations. Also I just set up the filters in OBS. (However, not sure if you've heard/know about the program).
@docmedia16854 жыл бұрын
Travis Anderson I haven’t used OBS so can’t speak too much into that. I would always recommend looking at Rode Microphones depending on what you are after. They’re pro rather than low level gaming and not headsets I don’t think. However, in pro land you will always get more bang for buck with Rode...quality for price is outstanding. If you are looking for a usb mic an NT-USB series mic is brilliant. I am not an affiliate and have no gain from promoting them. I own 6 Rode mics and 3 Audio Technica headsets

You are somewhat of an audition guru but you don't even realize that your left audio is bigger than your right?
@lukeholt7426 Жыл бұрын
Hey @willhuang2198. The video was recorded with Camtasia and there was something in the setting that converted mono to left side only and the way the meters and laptop speakers were no...I was no able to see that the video had rendered left side only. I have considered redoing the audio of the video but then just didn't because it was being found and helping people. Hopefully the content helped with the issue you were searching for.
