This is the second video of yours that has helped me, thank you. You CAN edit audio without video in imovie. I import an single still photograph or frame then drag it out to the same length of time that I know the audio I want to import will be. Then I drag and drop the audio (for example my voice overs) and I can merrily edit away and just ignore the still photo. This way the audio is detached. Then I can copy and paste any clips I want across into my actual video project. Hope that helps. Thanks again for your help and videos.

tx much! a few q's: 1) when I'm downloading clips, how to get them to appear in same order as on computer folder I'm downloading from? 2) how to adjust order of how clips appear in iMovie download pane? 3) in the timeline, once I have a few clips the way I want them, is there a way to lock them together?

This video is so helpful thank u!! :) I have a question whenever I edit my video and I post it. It always comes out blurry and my iPhone is the 11. Do you know why that happens?🤔
@jordanmorrison2 жыл бұрын
Good question. It could be a number of things. Here’s the 3 main ones. Check your phone settings to see what quality it’s recording at, check that your phone camera is actually “in focus” while recording, check the export settings during and after editing that it’s at least 720p or 1080p, hit the settings tab on your KZbin video or wherever you post it. Possibly your viewing settings are low (this is usually only the case when all of the videos you watch online are blurry)

Good video. However it’s better to use only WAV or AIFF in audio editing in GB or other DAW.

Thank you for this. One used to be able to place dots on the sound line to adjust the volume. Is that not possible anymore? It seems like there is so much less control just grabbing sections and using the fade tool. Did I miss something? Thanks!
@jordanmorrison2 жыл бұрын
Ahh yes! As far as I'm aware you definitely still can. That's more of an advanced feature and this video was meant to be more focused to beginners. If you are looking into that you should look up "volume automation in iMovie"

How do you get the audio to start? I’m use to edit on my phone, and I have screen recordings and I can’t use those or separate the music or sound? So I can I get music and use it for iMovie for my MacBook?
@jordanmorrison2 жыл бұрын
Oof! Good question. Did you do screen recordings with the microphone turned on? If you pull down the top menu on your iphone and hit the screen record button it will just "go" BUT if you hold down the screen record button then you will be able to see a "Microphone on/off" setting and make sure that you are recording audio with the screen recording. Feel free to shoot me an email at realtorjordanmorrison@gmail.com if you are having more issues like that. Sometimes it's a simple setting change to fix on the phone that's hidden too

@jordanmorrison2 жыл бұрын
Awesome thanks! I have a dslr camera hooked up and screen record at the same time. It’s a lot of moving parts but long story short is use your phone and a tripod or you can grab a camera for a few hundred dollars. The one I started with is the Canon m50

Please one vedio share how to make animated you tube vedio
@jordanmorrison2 жыл бұрын
Hey Vikas! Good question. So animated videos are actually not that difficult to make 1. get the script down and record that using an audio software and usb mic 2. download the animation graphics from either a paid or free source that will relate to the voiceover recording 3. Add transitions, sound effects, background music, and text graphics as needed

Another Great Video! Thank You! I'm making real estate seller experience review videos for social media atm. I find your videos helpful. Yesterday, GarageBand destroyed my audio while bouncing it into MP3. What do you know about naming a track including a " . "? I was using a YetiX for the audio track and it sounded so good. I was also using two iPhones as cameras: one iPhone 13pro and the 7. I used a Rode microphone too... so at least I had slightly better audio. But for 3 people... it sounds a bit tinny... obviously due to lack of proximity to sound source. Loosing that audio clip still stings.🥵🔥🔥🔥⚡ out of curiosity, what do you charge for 'tutoring'.

For a movie that I videoed at a party, is there anyway to delete the person speaking's audio without deleting the video? I just want to silence certain sections.

Yes. “Right click” on the clip and there should be a “separate audio” button to chop up the layers

My screen does not look like yours! There is editing no bar above the video like your. It is a side window and the setting are not the same as yours. Did they change this program lately? This is the 3rd video I have watched and the screen is not the same as mine.

You should find "Revert to Original Layout" in the Window dropdown menu at the top of the computer screen. Try that to see if you get the same layout.
