I want to start releasing let's plays and for the moment, my focus lies on offering at least good edited/composed videos. They will be uncommented by now, since I'm actually too shy to comment my videos vocally and since I don't have the right equipment for high quality voice recordings. I'm only releasing content to a small selected audience first to see how my videos are received and the more feedback I get the better and faster I can improve! In the meanwhile I'm trying to improve my skills in video editing anyways before heading to the next big step of official releases! Becoming a content creator/let's player has been on my mind for a few years now, but I was already struggling to create a good brand for my channel at all and this issue was blocking my creativity since then. Luckily, I was able to solve this problem... even though the brand might isn't that creative, but finally, I can move forward now and even if I probably won't get the success I'm hoping for, I'll try it anyways because I think that trying something is better than doing nothing at all!

this is actually really great advice! I was spending a long time looking through my entire videos trying to see what I should cut out I never thought to just look where it's silent then cut that out. huge time saver!

I'm not exactly a professional, but I reccomend to make your intri shorter, cause alot of people will click off at a 2minute intro

This tip may help out. Something I've opted to do within my videos is add a little extra editing to add some more focus to some scenes, or even add in Memes for funny moments and jokes, as I've usually just *played the game*. Despite my subscriber count, I'm still rather a novice at this, and now I've gotten to a point where I wanna get better at making these kinds of videos, even if they're just meant to chill out.

Oh my god, "Cut out the silence", thats a great tip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how could i never think of that. I am scared to kill the vibe tho so ill be careful on cutting out the silence, but thats actually great.

Nah, bro. I feel bad that you only have 478 subs because you deserve so much. This is so professional and stuff. I'm gonna give you a sub for your troubles and efforts and when you do eventually blow up remember me. I'm gonna give you a shoutout as well when I get a decent amount of subs because you deserve it!

The only problem with this is background music... If you do this and the game has loud background music then when you cut out the parts where your silent, it no longer works as the music suddenly jumps!
@zyloxhp Жыл бұрын
maybe turning off the game music would help
@twitchplays9796 Жыл бұрын
@@zyloxhpI was just about to say the same thing. Turn off in-game music and add separate music in editing

That is amazing! I had my desktop gaming channel called "EgoisticMilk02", where I'm going to do a Let's Play on my first LP video, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, starring me, Simon Belmont, and Trevor Belmont. The main number games in Castlevania Anniversary Collection in order are 1) Castlevania, 2) Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, 3) Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and 4) Super Castlevania IV.

I record/stream at the same time - removing camera/overlays, editing down the clips I want/need, then doing voice overs. Definitely helps being more productive/having more time.

Thats a great way to do it... well done!

How do you manage games like assassins creed where 90% of the gaming footage is story story story, and not only story, but voice acted, the rest of it is pretty boring and repetitive (which I cut out) I don't want to cut into the voice overs from the actors, so I stay silent, but I find the long drawn out cutscenes of the game to be incredibly boring and not entertaining, like where Assassins creed is concerned, a lot of the cutscenes are while we are walking or doing something and the characters are like "Hey I know you're totally fighting, but let me talk your ear off unnaturally and have you reply like you're totally not fighting another dude" What do we do in the situation where you just can't speak but you also don't want to stay silent...and boring.

What a waste of time. He says virtually nothing until 3:03. Just start from there. The entire video could be summed up as "trim silence". That's it. That is his tip for making engaging videos

You should start a series where you pick people out of the comment section and review their videos and tell them what they should improve on or aspects that you really like about it!

a good majority of this ive done for my last 3 videos i use hit film express to edit. playing tear down a mission is about 30 minutes long but edit down to 10 to 15 mins.. i catch the action wen i can but due to my audio i see why my views can be inconsistent despite only having 4 vids up atm . but this tells me as a creator im on the right track so thanks

When I’m making a let’s play video, should I show my face when I’m talking to my audience?
@fiftyshadesofurban3 жыл бұрын
Is this what you do when you want to show the entire game? It's ok to skip stuff in Let's Plays? I thought the point was to show the entire game.. I can understand skipping if you get stuck or die a ton on a boss or something.

What keyboard shortcut are you doing after you’ve deleted a selected segment to close gaps? I currently have to delete, then use my close gaps shortcut. I’ve been trying to figure out how to delete and close gaps at the same time with no luck, haha
@ZoosheeStudio3 жыл бұрын
It's called a ripple delete.

Only a bit into the video, but I do gotta say that stream uploads CAN do well on yt. There are a few streamers that stream when I'm at work and I cant make it so I just watch the 4 to 8 hour raw stream upload they post to yt. I watch em because the streamer is entertaining and engaging. When you are a smaller channel yeah no one will really care for it but its because no one knows you yet. So no, you don't "need to edit it".
