The Greek word for “photography” translates to “drawing with light” and you nailed it! I loved this tutorial. Picked up several things I could use for my workflow. Great job! 👏

I looked and didn't find a video, comparing DXO Pure Raw Four to the full Topaz program. I have topaz sharpen and denoise but if I'm not careful I get some really funny spots on my photos. I'm an amateur so don't know if DXO raw would be worth it for me. I mostly post on instagram and facebook, wildlife photos. But I do like my photos to look as professional as I can get them.

It would be great to see a video comparing the two. I used Topaz previously but found the software too complex for me. DXO is way simpler and for me the results are better. Perhaps download the trial and make a comparison.

So that's why my images (edited with Lightroom 6.14) don't measure up to the great quality and detail of pro images today. In a strange sort of way that makes me feel a great deal better about my own images. While I was very impressed with the many conceptual techniques you used to bring out the best in this image I'd drive myself nuts if I allowed myself to attempt these many complex steps in image processing.

Many thanks Mark. Very useful. Why do you not start with Lightroom denoise? Is there a big difference?
@MarkDumbleton5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I find the DENOISE about on par with Lightroom when using DXO, but having the added processing power of the Lens Softness Feature, together with force details makes DXO better in my opinion. DXO is also faster at processing RAWS than Lightroom. I think when Lightroom adopts an AI sharpening feature, I think I’ll probably remain in Lightroom for initial Raw processing.
