Millie - thanks for the videos. I know in one video there was a mention of do everything inside of the IG app vs reposting from TikTok (for example). The idea is that IG knows if you did the assembly inside of the IG app and that helps with your reel. How do things play out with the IG algo when a 3rd party editing tool is used vs working within the IG reels editor?

Good point, I recall reading somewhere that it could hurt the algorirhm, and a way around it was to use a program that removed the video metadata (like Metapho for example)

Hey Millie! Do you know anything about caption edits reverting back to the original as you continue to edit? Seems like any new changes I make undoes ALL of my previous caption edits or it applies the new “whatever” I chose to the whole thing, even if I had a specific word selected. Any insight? 👀

That "Mute All Clips" button is key! I've definitely forgotten to mute a video while editing and had to start all over. 😅 And we need a Reels of you doing voice overs under a blanket please! 🤣

Capcut is the best video editing app Ive found by far. And its free. The best feature which isnt found in any similiar apps is the REMOVE BACKGROUND feature. Its much more precise and advanced than background removal in other apps. It can cut the background from your entire body, not just your face/shoulders. Also their selection of Animation effects/ Video effects/ Body effects is huge and once you practice become very easy to use. Professional quality! Also very detailed and precise editing features including the sound editing and sound effects, again a huge selection and hollywood professional quality. If anyone from capcut reads this- I love yalls app and thnk you for having it free! I tell everyone about capcut

Can you also point me to any of your videos in regards to KZbin videos where you have the animation pop up to Subscribe and get notified? I edit my YoutTube videos in Movavi as ours are typically longer so I used a paid software on my laptop. Just starting to learn how to do reels. Do you do all reels in Portrait mode for filming? I am so used to doing horizontal for KZbin and Facebook videos. So much to learn!

I'm giving you a like because I can't say I didn't learn anything. However if I could just request a couple of things when you're making videos which would really help us newbies: often you forget to speak - so you're not actually giving a step-by-step and it's hard to keep up to where you are - I'm looking at the app, I'm looking at you, I'm looking at the app... not really sure where you are so I have to stop the video numerous times to try to figure it out. That's a little painful and I couldn't finish watching this. If you could slow down a bit and actually talk about the buttons you're physically hitting that'd be super, because it's difficult to pick up all your movements on the screen. But I do appreciate the overview of all the different settings and that was helpful. Thank you! :)

Don't breathe or exhale.....hahah kidding (kinda), I try to say as much as I can in one breath and then start a new voiceover recording. If there are weird breathing noises or sounds, I try to edit them out or re-record
