The problem with this strategy is that it doesn't account for content that is time consuming to make. Batching works if you're doing shorter stuff that maybe takes 10-30 mins a video but when you get into 30-60 mins for one video… that's exhausting and going to lead to burn out
@jackcarr32542 жыл бұрын

Totally agree! The strategy in this video is simply "what I would do" not "what everyone HAS to do or else you won't grow" ya know what I mean? A LOT of my videos were 30-60 second videos and trying to batch that can be a lot. So my strategy is to mix up the type of videos I batch. Some with be long 60 second educational videos, some will be short lip sync videos, some will be a screen recording on my phone where I don't have to film a thing! That's why the step of "planning out your content" is so important! This way batching doesn't lead to burnout, or at least can HELP not lead to burnout.

@@aaa-mt3tz For you and anyone reading this, I think you guys are overcomplicating this. I'm an artist too. Im not sure why a piece is taking 40+ hours, but I'm just going to throw out some examples of how you can work this strategy into it. Any vid you make, treat it like a Thanksgiving turkey... Meaning get lots of leftovers for Reels content out of that one video and art piece. You don't have to film all 40+ hours. You can do beginning middle and end to show off and edit that all together. That same video can then give you another video by blurring the entire video a bit and animate text over it giving tips on your process for what challenged you on that piece. Another video for that same piece is maybe a funny moment that happened through that process like a blooper, that could be a vid alone. Maybe an edited vid with this project and a past vid comparing how good you've gotten or a relevant topic. You get where I'm going?

I love watching camping/hiking videos where they just show the most mundane things like preparing their food to eat, setting up their gear, sitting down and enjoying the view, showing the birds flying about, walking up a hill to get to a nice spot. The anticipation really builds to make for a good experience. An 8 hour hike should be able to provide you with a lot of content. What is it you find most interesting about hiking? Why do you do it? What do you get out of it? To find nice views? Find interesting flora or fauna to look at and learn about? Build strength and make progress keeping fit? I’m sure the things you find interesting about hiking, other people will too. Thanks for this strategy, Millie. I was wondering for those without a specific niche. It will be harder, but let's say I want to make content around long-distance relationships, living more healthy ( i'm going to do the keto diets soon), travel. More of a lifestyle thing. Would you then do these things around all of those different categories? And then engage with the audience within those different categories, so to speak?
@NoraEvelyn2 жыл бұрын
You can view niche as a specific category, and this is most common. BUT if you have a lot of stuff you want to talk about it might be better to think of your "niche" as your very specific target audience. Sit down for a bit and picture the type of person you're making content for. How old are they? What's giving them daily struggles? What makes them happy? What do they do in their free time? What kind of budget do they have? Ect... think about your target audience and then make content FOR them.

There's a specific audience that wants to lose weight and get in shape, my keto videos will be geared towards them. Then videos about long-distance relationships, since I'm in one. There's a big audience for that, but they aren't necessarily interested in keto content. I hope this makes sense. I know, maybe I'm just overthinking here.
