The amount of creativity and time it must take to make these videos engaging, funny, technically-advanced-yet-approachable, and visually stunning at the same time must be insane. While I’m not a video editor, this channel is worth a follow in all the other things you learn by simply watching. I do come to KZbin for everything from how-to’s on everything from fixing cars to product reviews and everything in between. But objectively, I can say there isn’t anyone out there that puts it all together like you, Javi!

One thing i couldn't understand anywhere why there is no jitter in the video when premiere is chucking out extra frames from the video. When you insert 120 or 60 fps in a 24fps timeline and slowling and speeding up?? Or its because of frame sampling

I was already going to go back and watch all of you other videos but, if you haven't put it out, can you do a tutorial on how you did that last 'shot' with the ball into the glass while talking?
@JavierMercedes4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The ending is simple in concept I just shot it in two takes, I sat there for a very long time until I made a shot and masked the ball in slo mo using the techniques in this video and then masked myself in on the other spots.

Excellent presentation. Thank you Javier. just need a clarification for "the shutter speed is 2X frame rate" I have -electronic shutter (how does efffect the settings?) -mechanical shutter. -manual shutter settings -Shutter priority settings -video mode marked in red arrow (how does efffect the settings?) in my panasonic lumix FZ2000 / 2500 image location: i.ibb.co/b2tbsj4/fz2000.jpg I wonder if the video mode calculates (increases/decreases the shutter automatically)? I appreciate your thoughts on that please ps. I have just subscribed your channel too.

nice tuto. I am newbie in video with an a7m4. In Belgium, i would have 25fps at 1/50s, 50fps at 1/100sec (60fps 1/125sec recommended for belgium 50hz ?) . To mix these several frame rates, isn't finally interpret footage the easiest and best method ? no optical flow interpolation needed in interpret footage to make it smooth ?
@allenjaque2 жыл бұрын
Excuse my ignorance, but I’m super confused about how to obtain slomo right. (Nothing about your teaching, because I’m 100% sure I’m not doing things right. I must be doing something wrong) I only know how to increase the FPS part while shooting to get B-Roll clips of 60fps and 120fps and then importing to premiere pro and interpreting footage. Then it all goes down. This guy WhoisMatt claims that interpreting footage is the right way to get butter smooth slomo edits. Now, that sounds well, with small size clips but once you have to create proxies for larger B-Roll files it all crumbles apart. You have to stop encoding do a work-around to interpret footage in Adobe Encoder and then use it in premiere. Other KZbinr I found said that interpretating footage isn’t the right way and that you should just use the native speed/duration function available in the drop down menus. Neither of those is working right for me. I still see this stuttering after I export the slomo edit. What am I doing wrong? Is it the way to slomo edit in premiere, is the frame sampling, frame blending, optical flow features options while rendering or exporting? Is ‘capture method’ with my Ninja V recording high FPS clips wrong or dropping frames? Please help! CAPTURE METHOD: I have a Z-Cam and I record 60fps B-Roll via Ninja V on the ATOMX AngelBird SSD drive.

very interesting Javier..what about speed up a clip either with speed ramping of fixed %?...does the result looks in dropping frame feeling in some situation? for example Irecorded a clip at 29.97fps and put it in a timeline of 29.97, then speed it up by 150%.. does the video look choppier or less choppy than the same clip recorded at 25fps (and as well speed it up by 150%) ? i mean is there a particular ratio in % speed which depending by source fps you recorded with you will have smoother or less smoother result speeding up the clip itself?? sorry difficult to make the question in proper english, I know

Sheesh! Bro covered so much in just a 12min video. Thank you so much!!!!!! I was looking for help in making a video where I take a soccer shot, slow down the ball only and then run towards the goal to then cut again and add myself in the goal saving my own shot and I was having so much trouble mainly because I was masking the person who took the shot while I was at the goal first. But now I’m getting a better idea. Maybe I should do the slow mo of the video even with the other person first then move on to masking the person and then masking myself in the goal while the second video is present and then reappear myself when my second video hit the exact spot where I should be in my first video. My biggest trouble was just that. But the idea is to place a ball, take a shot, slow the ball down as it arrives the net, then run towards the goal, then save the shot (normal speed)… If you have any advice on better way I can go about it please let me know. Thank you!!!
