When outsourcing editing, how involved do you have to be with the editor? I’d assume you’d just send over your recordings and describe what you want, but that almost seems too easy lol. How much time does one have to spend guiding the editor to do what you need? I’ve been learning editing on Davinci Resolve for a little over half a year, and I’ve gotten to a level where I’m trying to edit some KZbin videos to revitalize this current channel (it’s monetized). Perhaps it’d be worthwhile to test a couple editors on Fiverr?

i completely get what you're saying at 1:41 but one thing that really matters to me to showcase true quality of a video is subtitles being 100% correct, which doesn't happen at 1:59 subtitles used to be for the hard of hearing, now theyre for retention. but if someone who is hard of hearing is looking at the subtitles is it really fair of us to make this the aspect of the video that loses quality? if you can't fix a subtitle, don't include it in your retention edit. thats just my 2 cents.

Hey n8! I know that editing is a very time consuming task and it's one of my biggest problems when making content as well, but I've been wondering if I should upload a long video within 1 video but long, or make it into 2 parts. (since the editing can take much longer than the other method and it'll be inefficient.) When I make it into 2 parts, I need to do the intro again while doing a small recap, and when doing a 1 whole video, I need to keep the viewer's interest and fill it with content for whatever amount of time the video is. Do you have any recommendations of which is a better one to chose in retention and CTR aspect?
