Starting out with a decent photo is key and then these 5 steps make things really simple. I like ON1 and their approach.

great tuto. isn't it better/recommended to first make a good exposure before applying denoise and sharpening ? i am surprised how it worked nicely with such dark image.

Another interesting and informative video Dylan. Question - what level of NoNoise do you use in your preferences NoNoise AI Default? I would also like to know if you made any changes to your default Brilliance AI or do you use the default level?

A nice simple edit

I really would like to see a zoom at 100% of the photo after editing. At that size is impossible to see how noise reduction and sharpening have been aplied and how it looks or if it has some artifacts.

I was thinking about getting this for editing my wildlife photos, but the final image looked as if you took a cut-out of a bird and pasted it on a slightly bokeh background. There is too sharp a line between the bird and the background. Is this how the AI treats all of the wildlife images? Or is it possible to edit to look natural?

There's something wrong with the beak and lower neck on this photo after de-noising. There is a white line separating it from the background. In the final result, the bottom (black) edges of the wing also look "punched out" from the background. Definitely not a natural look.

Agreed it's quick. However, on my monitor I could see an odd red mark under the beak on the far wing and the feathers on the birds breast area looked unnaturally sharpened.

I'm starting to like ON1 but the sharpening in this video is too much. Just have a look at the edges, all sorts of artifacts appear.
