Camtasia personally was my first, and still one of my favorite video editors. It is a great investment for anyone looking to get into video, film, cinematography, vlogging, or whatever the case may be.
Although the software / program is quite easy to use, and the layout is neat and easy to navigate through, there is still a learning curve. Pros to Camtasia Studio 8 are the fast rendering, easy navigation through the timeline, compactness, and ease of use.
I love that TechSmith gives us a built-in screen recorder as well, so we don't have to use a 3rd party one, such as OBS. The screen recorder is highly functional as well, allowing you to add a webcam and edit seamlessly through the video editor.

8:25 You can use Camtasia Recorder to output to .avi just go into settings and change the output format from .trec to .avi

Hello I have seen a recent problem on cam studio 8. There are 2 recording tracks when you record a gameplay (track 1 (System audio) track 2 (Screen) about 1 month ago it was good. Basically My system audio doesnt record the end part of the gameplay. the Screen is absolutely good notthing wrong with it... Really sorry for bothering you but ehh I need help so i wont have delays on my videos. because i dont know where the system audio is on what minute at the video. Thank you!

You say camtasia crashes? For me, Movie Studio Platinum 13 crashes when i least expect it. It even starts to crash at specific places when i preview, which stops me for being able to edit that exact part. The only reason i'm still on Movie Studio is because it's affordable and i can animate with key frames with it, something that is lacking in most budget video editing software.
