I believe a pdf would need to be uploaded as an attachment. If there is a section of a pdf you want to embed, you can screenshot the section, then embed the photo directly into your post. You could also save the pdf into your Google Drive, and have a hyperlink in your post that takes the reader to the pdf in your drive. Hope that helps!
