Thank you very much for these instructions. I too use the MOODLE LMS. But I have run into a problem and hoping you can help. after a few play backs, google sends this message through moodle, "unable to play this video at this time. The number of playbacks has been exceeded" can you help?

This may happen when a video gets too many views in a short period of time. A few things you could try: Check Video Sharing Settings: Make sure the video isn't restricted to a specific audience. Google Drive Quota: If the video is hosted on Google Drive, you might have hit a daily quota. Wait for it to reset.

Thank you for these very helpful instructions - just what I was looking for! 🙂 May I ask if it is possible to add a preview picture for the video to be played? When embedding a video from my Google Drive into a Moodle page, the placeholder for the video is just a black box - I would like it to show a still / screenshot from the video instead. I compared my -code to be embedded in the Moodle page with the example given in first row of the spreadsheet and their structure seems identical (with both links ending with "/preview"), but while the example from the spreadsheet effectively shows a preview from the video, my own embedded video does not.

Can I somehow remove this pop-up button? When the video opens in a new window, then it is possible to copy the link. And I don't want the video to be shared uncontrollably

Unfortunately, when embedding Google Drive videos, Google provides limited options to control the behavior of the video player, including the "pop-out" button that allows viewers to open the video in a new window and potentially share the link. Google Drive doesn’t natively offer a way to disable that button. Here is a suggestion that might help: Limit Sharing Permissions: Make sure the video’s sharing settings are as restricted as possible in Google Drive. Set it to “Anyone with the link can view,” but avoid giving editing or downloading permissions. This won’t remove the pop-out button, but it will limit what users can do with the video after they access it.

Hello, as a teacher, can I view the logs of every one of my courses in one log, or can I only do each course individually?

Don't believe you can aggregate them with the teacher role. You would view them by course. Documentation here docs.moodle.org/311/en/Logs

Hi TeKanAid, I tried this but unfortunately get a 403 error. It tells me the following: "Forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied!" Any idea what the issue is?
@TeKanAid2 жыл бұрын
When do you get this error? What are you trying to access?
@castleforbescommunications50902 жыл бұрын
@@TeKanAid I am following all the steps in the video. I get the error code once I embed the link from the spreadsheet into the page content field.

Are you sure that the link to your google drive video is accessible to everyone on the Internet under the shared section as shown in the video here? You can test by opening an incognito window and try going to the link
@katharinahicker96312 жыл бұрын
@@TeKanAid Thank you so much for taking the time!! Yes, the link is accessible to everyone on the internet. But when I put it in the incognito window, it opens the link and shows the video screen, but the video won't play (waited a couple minutes).
@TeKanAid2 жыл бұрын
@@katharinahicker9631 this sounds like a permissions issue. could it be that the admins of Google suite at your organization have some restrictions applied?

They can still share it to anyone with the link. Do you know a method to only allow them to play it from the moddle itself withouth actually uploading to moddle? I've seen services like Vimeo but they are too expensive for me at the moment.
@TeKanAid3 жыл бұрын
Vimeo was going to be my suggestion. But even with Vimeo, if someone really wants to get the content they can record the screen.
