Thanks, Russell! Have you done a training video that covers how to change the justification of an embedded video on the screen (left, center, right)?
@ttvRussell4 жыл бұрын
Dean, no but it is not that hard. Select the video and then position it as you want. The difficult thing can sometime be selecting the video. Start by selecting just about it. More free Moodle Videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle

Hello Russell, Thank you for the great videos. Is there a way to have an image be a hyperlink to a video popup instead of the image?
@ttvRussell4 жыл бұрын
Scott, yes that should be possible. The image link would go to a video and that video would open in a pop up window. It should work though I have never done that. More free Moodle videos here www.teachertrainingvideos.com/moodle

Dear Russel, When I play the embedded video, it stil shows a little youtube interface that, if clicked, sends me to youtube page. In this way, students exit from Moodle, and (the worst) tehy can copy/paste the link to other destinations.... How can I deny students exit from Moodle learning interface embedding a youtube link? Thank you in advance
@ttvRussell2 жыл бұрын
You can't. the way to avoid it is to upload videos into Moodle directly. If you embed from youTube, they can always jump out. One way to discourage them is to embed the videos at a bigger size, which you should be able to do by changing the width and height of embed code.

Brilliant, Russell! Thank you! How does one go about purchasing a Moodle License? Is there a student version (for an MRes postgraduate student who is also a qualified teacher)? I'm not teaching at the moment but it would be useful to know for when I do.

Is it possible to make one video using more than one youtube videos start-end times ? I want to select the best part of videos and without downloding and trimming them I want to put them together and create one brief video. Is there any plugin for this (such as h5p)?

You might be able to do that once ie one start and one end time but I am not 100% sure I have never tried. For sure you can't do it multiple times.

Dear Mr Russel, I would like to communicate with you in your email on some video course creation. I am finding a limitation with the Video size when I create materials in Camtasia . is there a size limitation. What is better in Moodle? Normal free version of Moodle Cloud. Iwe are an accredited training provider with international certification and I want to develop blended courses. the duration of each course is 20-30 Hours duration minimum . Need you advice
@ttvRussell Жыл бұрын
Ray; you can go to the settings in Camtasia and choose any size including setting the size yourself. I have a free complete course in using Moodle that you can find here...kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3zPpJqMrKmYoJY....Camtasia is a very good tool for making hight quality videos, it is what I have always used. Moodle is OK, it is a bit clunky, there are many of these tools around. I am not really an expert in that area. I have my own platform these days.

I must have a different version of Moodle because while I'm in edit mode there is not an update button. There is only a save changes button. I can see the video I created in edit but then when I click save changes it takes me back to the home screen and the video is not there. It only appears in edit mode. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

How do I embed videos greater than 8 MB in the moodle? It does not allow me to upload it and I only am allowed to paste the URL! Please help

That totally depends on your admin settings. You need to talk to the people who set up your Moodle installation. They can change this and allow bigger videos
