I’m a beginner and your videos have helped a lot, I wish more guys were into embroidery, really is a stress relief and a sick art form too.

I'm responding to this 4 years late but, historically, some well-known "embroidery guilds" only accepted men as members, despite the skill being very common among women! Think military/ceremonial dress, as well as religious/historical tapestries etc.

I just got into embroidery because of your last video, if you’re looking for cheap fabric to embroider on, try flour sack towels

Hi 😊 I’ve actually bought all the stuff and started embroidery myself because of your video, much easier to watch than others out there. Just one question, is there a reason you don’t start with a knot? I’m embroidering clothes so I think I need to?
@byCHLOEWEN4 жыл бұрын
You can start with a know I just never have 👍🏼
@SaikoTaiko4 жыл бұрын
@@byCHLOEWEN Oh okay! This was my question too. It's pretty simple to make. I wasn't sure if it makes a weird tug on the fabric or not (I just tested it and it seems okay).

Love this embroidery idea! I’m just starting out and I was wondering, do you make a knot on your thread before you begin, or do you only hold it down when you start and secure it only by going back and forth in the beginning?
@byCHLOEWEN4 жыл бұрын
I hold it down!
@jackeline_dl4 жыл бұрын
by CHLOE WEN thx! 💛
@person-lz5sb4 жыл бұрын
i know she holds it down but i find it much easier to just do a small knot at the end of the thread because it will hold itself. it honestly just depends on your preference.
