To watch John embroider on a single needle machine like mine was awesome! I know the fancier machines are better but mine is what I have. To see him demonstrate on the hoop that came with the machine was so useful! I have a hooping station, but he was showing me how to do it without. I love my hooping station. Hoping for magnetic hoops for my birthday. Thank you John.

Can’t believe how much I’ve already learnt from the first few lessons, and many, many more to go! 🎉 Thanks for sharing your expertise John, I was feeling totally overwhelmed when I first bought my Embroidery machine and Software (Embrilliance) but now it’s exciting to see what I’m producing because of what I’ve learnt. Just goes to show you CAN teach an old cat lady new tricks 🤣😹🤣😹

I've bought no show poly mesh from 2 different brands. Both shrink after washing and drying and create bad puckering. What brand are you using that doesn't need preshrinking and only 1 layer? 11:01

If you don't have a hooping station, an ironing board can do the job nicely.

bonjour, je suis française et j'espère malgré la barrière de la langue, apprendre de vos vidéos très bien faites. Mon plus gros souci et le stabilisateur que je dois employer pour les diverses broderies. Je vous remercie pour ces dernières afin que nous puissions nous perferctionner en broderie.

Another idea is to fold t shirt in half and mark the flod line down centre front with pins or chalk. I unfold the t shirt and place a plastic placemat inside the shirt so i can pin on my printout so it doesn't go through all layers of fabric.

Can you show a video "how to hoop a t shirt when using a six needle machine? the hoop attaches on two sides to the machine. thanks

Hey! We do have a t-shirt tutorial like that :) It is for the tajima sai but the way it hoops is very similar to the 6 needle machine you have!

I always prewash cotton before embroidery. Do I also need to rewash tshirts and hoodies first?

I always prewash anything I sew/embroidery-I don’t re-wash.

How do you get the design you want into the Brother Sewing machine? I wasn't expecting that, you removed the template, so the template is just to get it centered? and the machine already has the design loaded or did i miss something, also why is that tissue you put into the tissue within the hoop actually necessary?

Great questions! 😊 To get the design into your Brother sewing machine, you first load it onto a USB stick and then transfer it to the machine. The template is just to help you align and center the design correctly before stitching. As for the tissue (or stabilizer) within the hoop, it’s essential for supporting the fabric during embroidery to prevent puckering or distortion. @@DorsetChapUK You need specific embroidery designs for your machine. The software creates the stitches, Adobe Illustrator etc, doesn't do that. Brother supports PES Designs. I would go onto a machine embroidery website to find designs, they are relatively inexpensive. Some I use are Designs by Juju, Embroidery LIbrary or Embroidery Garden but there are many.
