How did you get TOTK to run. It was unplayable for me on the deck. It was 60 FPS at the beginning but once you get to the world it tanked to 30 FPS or lower. I think it mainly ran in the 20s somewhere. On my laptop I get around 35-45 FPS with vsunc off and resolution bumped up to 2x. I should be getting a lot more. Is there something I am missing? I am running the TOTK Optimizer but only way to get more than 45 I have to keep resolution at normal with vsync off as well.

I still have Yuzu (and Citra) and several backup copies on every device I own including Steam Deck. Ryujinx is very nice too and a lot more accuracy focused vs Yuzu which is faster on lower end hardware for many games (including TOTK on the Deck) but is a lot more hacky, which is why it had to be updated with game fixes fairly often. But TOTK running between 30-40 fps on both the Deck and my ROG Ally is really nice. Thinking back on that Steam Deck advertisement which accidentally had Yuzu in the game library hits different now 😮

Off topics: I have a question about my pc and I thought you might have more experience about it When I play games my pc makes loud noises, but when I turn the fps down it becomes more quite. I suspect it’s gpu coil whine but I’m not sure. Is it common?

It’s probably something in one of your fans. When you crank the settings up the temperature will increase which then makes the fans kick into high speed. You might want to dust out your PC with a can of air. (there’s a lot of good guides online if you aren’t sure what your doing)

@@thearchon8579 typically your PC fans will speed up when your gaming or running so other intensive program. It is normal for fans to be a bit noisy. It’s still a good idea to dust out your PC.

Everything was great except when I tried to install my firmware, it gave me a pop up saying it couldn’t find my product key. I put it in the system folder as shown. Can someone please help? Edit: I was using an outdated version of LockPick_RCM! I replaced the old .bin file and repeated the process for getting the keys and putting them in ryujinx system folder. Firmware installation went through after that.

Works for me UNTIL I try to get my games loaded into steamdeck ROM Manager. Somehow it does not find the games placed in my Switch ROM folder :( The rest works. I can also start roms in deck mode through emulator.

Make sure you have all the games placed in ONE folder that you have selected for the ROMs directory. I had mine in subfolders and I ran into an issue. Just ensure you have all the directories correct and you click SAVE before you try parsing. Hope this helps

That's probably the most difficult part, sadly. I think recently, there was a development where you can buy a module that dumped your games right off the switch with no need to root the switch. I think you can also buy a bit that goes into the joy-con rails on the switch that roots it easily.

There is a dumper for it but its not cheap but if you want to dump your game its basicly the only way other then rooting your switch with risks involved

As long as you have the dumped games, keys and firmware that’s all you need. If you don’t have those three things you’ll need the Switch to do so.

Skyrim has gotten some updates that essentially break lots of mods. You have to figure out what mods work on your version or downgrade your version of Skyrim for them to work.
