How to Enable or Disable

Do you want to enable or disable double opt-in for your Mailchimp subscribers? This tutorial shows how to either enable or disable your subscribers receiving opt-in emails from Mailchimp.

With double opt-in enabled in Mailchimp, each new subscriber signing up will need to click a link in an email sent from Mailchimp before you're able to send email #marketing to the new subscriber. Follow the simple steps in this video to enable or disable Mailchimp double opt-in.

Hi Gary! It is funny, I opened the settings and it is unclicked meaning that I need to activate it in order for it to be sent to the subscriber, when in fact I entered to disable it because it is being send and I don't wont it to. It also sends to emails asking for confimation when a new person subscribes, which is weird.

Once you click double opt in and enable recaptcha you cannot turn it back again really frustrating very off putting really

Mmm. It's usually quick. The opt in email sometimes/often gets rejected or sent to spam thus it's worth checking with various email addresses from different providers.

Gary, does it take time for double opt in to work, i enabled it but my email form still won’t double opt in when I sign up (I made sure to save and use the new code)

I am having the same problem as everyone else. I never choose double opt in but a conformation opt in email is sent! Anyone found a solution for this?

@@GaryEckstein same thing happening to me. Doesn't work anymore. I called support and they told me you can't get rid of it. But a tech person is supposed to get back to me. If we can't get rid of it I won't be using Mailchimp!

Have you set the Audience you want to send to? Also make sure you have the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email.

Yeah, I did , I added two audiences and unsubscribe link, This is my new Account.I'm facing this one ( Your account has one or more issues that need to be resolved. View issues) .I thought email was problem then I also created two account new , same problem I'm facing . I informed mailchip team.they are not responding .please help me.

Mabe This happens After mailchip has been updated . because I saw another person facing same problems . even after creating a account by another device ,same problem showing up ; such as sending disabled or account issue.
