*does entire video explaining to end your interaction with a food for thought, not simply thank you* *ends video with thank you, not food for though* And yes, I stayed till the end for my food for thought only to be disappointed, how would you feel if your time was so stolen?

@ExplearningCo
@ExplearningCo 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcio, very happy you enjoyed this lesson! For the FFT, think about what is the one thought you'd like the audience to take away from your talk/presentation. What is a question you'd like them to ponder for the rest of the day? That is your Food For Thought. Of course, it should be related to your talk in some way, but it doesn't have to be something you explicitly spelled out for the audience during the presentation. Hope that helps! Can you tell me an example using 'power of words'
@ExplearningCo
@ExplearningCo 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jessleen, recognizing the power of words means that we honor the weight of the words we use. Word choice is very important. This is why we have to choose our words wisely and make every word count, particularly in the virtual setting where the resolution of the communication exchange will be lower than an in-person meeting. For example, when you're phrasing something, there are so many different ways in English to say the same thing. However, our goal should be to construct an argument, begin a speech, or drive home a final point (like this lesson is about) in a way that will demonstrate the full power of the message we're trying to convey. It's about choosing certain words over others to really make your points shine. Hope this clarifies things. Also, we have loads of lessons on Public Speaking that you might enjoy: kzbin.info/aero/PLSgyHuMB_1ohmmNl4sNHe_7K0FnTi1VdH Great to have you in the Explearning community! Happy Explearning ⚡
