This is also similar to what is taught when learning to ride a motorcycle. Always lead ahead with your eyes/head and follow with turning the bike. Do not look directly at the road in front of you while turning

As you turn you must lower the muzzle and reacquire your target. Your finger is still on the trigger, and you don't want to harm the innocent.
