Thank you so much for helping to create a shift in toxic makeup community conversations, where artists strive to make features more Eurocentric, or "lifted." Thank you so much for the beginning. It's so tiring I feel like all of my face shape is out of "trends" I guess. For one I have and a very round face and god forbid I don't want to make it snatched, additionally my nose is bigger at the bottom, thinner lips, bushy eyebrows, and of course downturned eyes. It makes me so aggravated that all the tutorials are how to change what you have, when what you have is beautiful. This whole tutorial was super helpful and I definitely will be trying soon!

I am Asian with Downturn Hooded eyes with thick folds, which is rare for my race and I personally love it although people keep on making an impression of me being sleepy or tired but I still love my eyes. I found that a lot of celebrities that I consider beautiful have eyes like these such as Britney Spears, Twiggy, Princess Diana, and etc. All of their eyes have these soft, dreamy qualities that I really adore. And I always wishes to push my downwardness a bit more extreme to look like those, thank you so much for the tutorial, I have subscribed to your channel and saved this video already ❤

This is not only the best video I’ve seen talking about downturned eyes, but literally the only one that was not infuriating or useless. I feel like I’ve learned everything I need to know about my eye Shape and how to enhance it and play it up! I tried doing my eyeliner in the shape you described in this video today, and I will never go back. I usually just tight line a teeny bit, but every time I try to do some thing a bit more dramatic. The shape is just really wrong and it looks horrible. No more! The look you did today on your model was stunning. I feel like it shows off her natural beauty, rather than paint some thing totally knew. Which is fine, too, but I love when you see something a little more individual that was already there, and just made to shine by make up :-)

I'm just starting out makeup but the way you did yours in this video makes your eyes look so beautiful and big! I appreciate your makeup styles, it's not too much but it's just the pop and uniqueness you want without looking samey. I think people are most beautiful because of our different features, I always felt bad because I have small lips and a very defined cupid bow when that's not in fashion now.... we should all accentuate the beautiful unique features we have like you said! girl i just now visited your profile, you have almond shaped eyes, not downturned. Having downturned eyes means the lower lashline is dragged down in the outer corner. You have a neutral cantal tilt, which means it's not lifted, nor downturned :) Regardless, you are beautiful! source: studying in optometry school ;)
