How to Enhance the Dialog on your Panasonic DP-UB820 4K Blu-ray player

Watching it thru your phone will not really show any difference. but in person its a huge difference in sound.

If you change to pcm from bitstream you lose dts x and dlby Atmos. Also front display should be set to off to enhance sound.

Any idea how it boosts dialogue? I wonder if it raises the frequency band in spoken dialogue frequencies like Denon's dialogue enhancer?

Not to sure. There is a setting in the Panasonic Blu-ray players that you can enhance the Dialogue. That would be a question for Panasonic

If you choose to have the player output the audio as bitstream, then you are sending it "as is" and leaving it up to the receiver or soundbar to decode the audio. If you choose to have the player output the audio as pcm, then you are asking the player to decode the audio before it sends it to the receiver or soundbar.
