Matthew’s commitment to getting as many people as possible to enjoy his favorite game to its fullest is extremely cute I mean, he does it super professionally and with that patented surgical precision, but still, the heart of it is still a very wholesome sort of “look at my favorite thing here’s why you should love it too”

I'll chime in some tips I know just trying to fill some gaps here. Unite Bomb does have its own set of Stinger, Cyclone and Rising attack on MainWeapon, and they are available right away when Wonder Black joins the team without needing to unlock them. Matthew showed the Rising one which the bomb gets thrown to mid-air, but the other 2 are: Bomb Stinger - Throws the bomb *further* away at the latter direction of the Stinger motion. (Useful at times if you don't wanna get too close on those teleporting, dual-wielding enemies) Bomb Cyclone - Scatter 3 bombs around your squad.

My first playthrough of this game may have been the single most frustrating gaming experiences I've ever endured. As a bit of background, I've played and enjoyed Bayonetta 1 & 2, DMC 1, 3, 4 and 5, Demon's Souls (+DLC), Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 (+DLC) , Bloodborne (+DLC), Sekiro, Vanquish, Mad World, etc. I found W101 very opaque, noisy, inelegant, and tedious. I did this on Matthew's recommendation. I likely would not have finished the game if it hadn't been so highly touted by someone I regard as very thoughtful when it comes to these sorts of games. That being said, I'm glad this video exists. It may be the sole reason I continue to play W101. There were dozens of insightful tips and tricks provided here that will undoubtedly transform the way I approach further play. I can hardly believe that I'm actually excited to go back for more, now. Wish me luck.

One general piece of info is that the larger the morph, the more damage it will do, but the shorter it will stay out. Also, Bomb stuns longer with a 50-man bomb than with a 100-man bomb. 100 just deals more damage.
@ajaykundlas74614 жыл бұрын
59:50 The key is to look for the camera change. If it remains right where it's at, it's a punch and you should block or dodge. If it changes, go for a jump. Kept on thinking the camera was broken causing me to die until I realized they were two separate moves. You start to get a feel for it. Likewise I found it simpler to get past the blue dragon attack by simplifying it in my mind to single button inputs, keeping an eye on Giga-Goojin and watching his hands to tell whether I should press ZR or B. It's a very apt "rub your head, pat your belly" move, but like you said before, a bit of practice and you've got it. Can't manage to get time with this one yet, even with the Kakoo-Regah, but at least I can make it through consistently without damage now.

Having now played the game with the PC release, I really think they shot themselves in the foot with a couple of things they didn't explain, most importantly the limitations of Unite Guts. I don't see how anything of value is added to the experience by letting new players get hit through their guard with no real explanation of why, it's just going to undermine their trust in their main defensive tool and cause massive frustration.
@slenderMax284 жыл бұрын

Great tips. Played through on Normal on the Switch, found it mostly enjoyable, with some frustrations. Not a huge fan of some sections like the indoors bits and the punch outs, but that may just change with time and practice. It was cool to go back to the first couple of stages when I'd progressed and get a gold instead of a consolation prize. Agreed with you on rank running this game. For me, I just go through the levels and if I happen to be doing well I just roll with it (although, I do retry if I got a continue) because this game out of all the platinum games really isn't user friendly to rank running especially on the boss fights which, I just found out, don't even have a checkpoint at the start of the operation so if your last save was in an entirely different mission when you retry, the game will take you back to that instead of the mission your on.

Giving a lot of attention to a game that you know well and love is a great idea and it help a lot of people to apreciate the potential the game has, Thank you for that. still you said it has a lot of potential and there are lots of things can be discovered on multiple playthroughs, so i'll take your words and don't watch the video, because i love the feeling of satisfaction of finding things out by myself, and you should really try doing the same when you try Jagged Alliance 2 (1999). it's your call to play it the base version you get when you buy it, or the universally acclaimed by the community mod called "1.13", I say the mod is great but it changes a couple of immersive options in order to save time, like when you make your character, and that's the only thing i'm going to tell you. the less you know about it the better but there are things that i didn't found out and i've played it since 2001.
