Nice work Brian! I moved to Brewfather this past year and I love having the web access on any device. I build by recipes on my laptop when I have time and then I typically just use my iPad to run Brewfather and play music on brew days. Very thorough explanation of all the features.

Thanks! That's one of the things I love about the software is that you can move from device to device. Don't know if you've tried it or not but you can start your Brew Day on your laptop and then move to your phone and all the timers are in sync!! I really like that part! 👍🍻

That video couldn't be more on the spot! I'm planning to brew a Belgian Dubbel this weekend, so I entered everything in the Brewfather app, but I realized while watching this video that I didn't enter everything correctly (brew volume: kettle vs fermenter). Hope that I'll be right on spot when it comes to my numbers this Saturday!

@@ShortCircuitedBrewers in the end, the brew day went super smoothly, even if I didn't get my numbers quite right: my mashing efficiency was better than I anticipated (85% Vs 75%), which got my preboil gravity way higher than I was expecting. During the boil, the evaporation rate was a bit lower than I thought (2l/hour Vs 3l/hour), so it compensated a bit. In the end, I have a bit more than 20/21l of wort with an OG of 1.075, while I was expecting to get 20l with an OG of 1,070

Really good video Brian. I have heard that when you brew a batch with Brewfather and enter your "achieved" numbers (e.g. losses etc) there is a way you can save the resulting efficiencies back to your requirement profile, thus dialing in your kit with each brew. Do you know any more about this and how it can be done? Love your channel. Thanks.

Thank you Brian for the video very good. Yes I use a lot of kits and I feel a lot of times if I’m off, I just didn’t put the correct volume of batch size in brew father. It would be great if brew father had a feature to Pull the kits down into the app. Are usually just play with the Apple little bit to get the data that I want. Unfortunately you have to put those in yourself. Thanks again for the videos enjoy your content

Thanks . this is really very useful. I decided to try a Xmas Ale kit from northern Brewer and I was wondering exactly how to bring that to brewfather, Your detailed explanation helped a lot. Kit recipe really lack information ... For instance what water profile should I use , since the kit for the Festivus Miracle all grain does not say the "style". I am going to guess a Belgian strong ale ... Thanks again !

Brian, Appreciate the video as I’ve struggled with Brewfather for sure. I’m still a bit confused as I believe NB meant 6 gallons in the fermentor accounting for trub loss. If you’re at 100% power at 240v using your extension/surge protector cord of course 😀 your burning 1 gallon per 60 min, you’re still going to be way off using your 6 gallons to start off with. If I following the anvil guide in the destructions 8.2 gallons/16 lbs recommended for no sparge. Would you agree? Wish I could figure out water amount calculations in brewfather for theAnvil, just not very intuitive for us rookies.

Regarding yeast starters - I’m still perplexed on how to measure how much yeast I’m actually pitching given that I can’t decant all the liquid, or that I may lose some yeast while trying to decant. If you haven’t already, could you do a video that focuses on that topic? Many thanks for all the current content!
