What was the first coating called you put down before the base coat

A single broadcast quartz? All the quartz we do is double broadcast. Was this Torginal quartz?

Thanks for mentioning it. This was my first time doing a single broadcast. An industry buddy told me to tint the base coat to match the quartz. The base was gray and applied (I think) around 10 mils. It covered well and didn’t have any issues (or the gray base coat blended them). The top coat finished nice too. It was Estes quartz I think.
