How to ESA Fund: Computers and Tablets

This is so informative. I receive ESA in TN which is slightly different from Arizona as far as limitations but the reimbursement process looks the same. Thank you!

Hi there i just got a message back after a month and got this .....ACTION NEEDED: Suggestion to complete curriculum: Add Scope/sequence of information to be taught Add: Description of activities, exercises, and/or problems that will be used to assess learning. All curriculum elements must be met. See page 20 of the ESA Parent Handbook for an example. To ensure compliance with state law ALL supplementary materials require a curriculum (A.R.S. §15-2401(2). Any advice ? My kid needs laptop for online school hes going too. Thanks.

So even with the changes for 2024 we won't need to submit a curriculum for a laptop/tablet? Because I was nervous to purchase one for my kid this year. Thank you for breaking down per kid as well, as many of us do have more then one kid who needs a computer. But are nervous about them rejecting the submission since it's multiple kids.

Correct - the changes only applied to the “supplemental materials“. Computer technology requirements have not been modified. Yey!

@@educationcorner6512 I bought macbooks through Amazon and Apple care. Apple care is a separate purchase. Did you submit for reimbursement with the macbook and apple care combined in the same submittal or separate? thanks

We are most likely going to tell ESA to shove it and pay it all out of pocket and keep the sorry gov out of our life. Thanks for trying to help people.
