Hi, I've had two out of body experiences. When the second took place I'd read about a guy in prison who claimed while he had been away some distance outside his body, someone else entered it. He went on to say, this character committed some crime for which he was convicted for when finally returning to his own body again. I can imagine how this must have seemed to the law. It was just a magical time. The title was "Méthode de dédoublement personnel : extérioration de la neuricité, sorties en astral" by Charles Lancelin. republished in 1925. I've lost the notebooks with the translation but I do remember Lancelin did most of his work hypnotizing talented empaths (not quite mediums)/ The tests were quite sophisticated using powder on the floor, photography and magnets, injuring the body with a pin scrape (to see if it affected the astral body) etc. There was also a chapter on what to eat and avoid eating and another on astral influences.

@@UPCOMINGTRUE-SELF91767 so the practical aspects are where things get to be more of a grey area and harder to pin down as I believe each person will have a unique path to walk, but I will do my best to explain from my own experience. I will start by first saying that I never set out with an intention to develop my spiritual practice in any particular direction and current topic was never a goal of mine, but it just developed by following my intuition over time as I practiced. I do believe that the place to start has to be with an initiation into the mysteries and there are many different ways this can happen. Probably the most accessible way would be through joining a mystical order (e.g. The Golden Dawn or other). There are Christian mystical orders as well such as the Rosicrucians and Martinism for people who are more inclined towards that direction. For myself, I accidentally self-initiated through a personal shamanic practice that involved reaching an altered state through a combination of dance and stereotyped movements and utterances (my way of thinking about it is that I barrage myself with sensations that constantly distract my conscious mind in different directions)… This was something that took a couple of years and again was not something I had set out to do. …At some point shamanic initiation requires one to pass through death so I really cannot recommend it to anyone and it possibly won’t happen if forced. …I had some accident and I would prefer to not share it in detail. What I can say about the higher self communication is that I can sometimes reach a higher state of consciousness associated with kundalini ascendancy which I consider to be potentially hazardous as I experienced a mild seizure the first time I did this because I descended to normal consciousness without first silencing my mind (higher dimensional thought won’t fit into our normal consciousness is my takeaway). Anyhow my experience with ascended consciousness has been that there is a sense of being inside some barrier or boundary which you cross back over to normal consciousness and which makes you forget most of what you learned. This may be part of the higher though just not fitting into normal consciousness. I don’t really know or fully understand.

I had My first out of body experience three nights ago..!! It started as some extraterrestrial beings were looking over my face from behind my back while i was sleeping and suddenly one of them touched the middlle part at the back of my spinal cord and instantly I was out my body and floating in the air. Anyone else remember floating above our body during childhood? I remember a twirling sensation as I floated down into my body. I saw the silver cord that connected me and this all seemed quite ordinary. As an adult I often had similar experiences, flying about, seeing stars everywhere as well as animals (owls, etc). Lately I had a journey through a wormhole with the intention of finding other worlds. I stopped si entered another star system & was told to return by 3 light beings that looked like tiny fairies. I had this experience and believe me it was real, I found myself flying above a local park near me I Knew well and I was really flying, It was so enjoyable I fought to stay there, but as I came back to my body I found I could not maintain my flight, I was getting heavier, it was a real disappointment to come back, that was over 30 years ago and I've never experienced it since, one thing I will add before I left my body I could hear what sounded like a big electric motor winding up in sound from low to high and at peak that's when I left my body.

I've had many spontaneous SP episodes, sometimes combined with OBE:s. So I tried the Hemi-Sync. Only gave me SP episodes or head-aches. No OBE:s so far. And it is voice guided meditation, which kinda freaks me out, when someone starts talking out of the blue when you're in a trance-like state gives me jump-scares. I had a dream where I was floating above my bed looking down at myself sleeping. I was floating away from my bed toward the corner of the room when all of a sudden I fell from floating then I woke up on the floor in the corner of the bedroom in the dark. I was disoriented and confused and crawled around in the dark until I found my bed and turn lamp on. I kept the light on and did not go back to sleep, it disturbed me. Have had many dreams where I can fly through the sky ,most are enjoyable but have had some dark ones . Never had another dream where I was floating above bed looking down at myself sleeping though.

That's how my grandmother knew I was different because I was able to do the same thing as a child. The only differences I couldn't go past the telephone lines. Why? I don't know, but then after that I used to have other weird dreams. An those were from like different dimensions. But now we're looking back because I'm suffering from traumatic brain injury and a lot of other issues and this is just odd that this came out in front of me.
